5. Wayne Agrella

NHA PRESS RELEASES:

1. Alexander Forbes

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Alexander Forbes was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding RAMBOS SECRET he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BEAUTYFULL FLAG shortly after the start in Race 8 at the Fairview Racecourse on 26 February 2009.

Mr Forbes signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 12 March to 18 March 2009, both days inclusive.

2. Richard Fourie

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Richard Fourie was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding TOKAI he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference toother runners at approximately the 150m mark in Race 6 at the Kenilworth Racecourse on 28 February 2009.

Mr Fourie signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 8 March to 14 March 2009, both days inclusive.

3. Apprentice Derreck David

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Apprentice Jockey Derreck David was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding DILYS DELIGHT he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BELLOTTO FLASH (AUS) at approximately the 400m mark in Race 7 at the Turffontein Racecourse on 7 March 2009.
Mr David signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 15 March to 21 March 2009, both days inclusive.

4. Apprentice Devin Ashby


Mr Ashby signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week from 15 March to 21 March 2009, both days inclusive.
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Apprentice Jockey Devin Ashby was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding JESSIE JAMES he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to WOODWARD at approximately the 400m mark in Race 3 at the Kenilworth Racecourse on 7 March 2009.
The National Horseracing Authority confirms that Jockey Wayne Agrella was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that, whilst riding DESERT DELIGHT he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GOLDEN HIND at approximately the 300m mark in Race 5 at the Fairview Racecourse on 13 February 2009.

Mr Agrella signed an Admission of Guilt and he has been suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of ten days from 7 March to 16 March 2009, both days inclusive

why does wayne agrella get 10 days and the others get a week for commiting the same offence

There are degrees of interference .often very visable in slow motion that the jockey knew what he was doing whilst sometimes in is just a tightening of horses inside or outside.Also the act may not have affected the placings
