WORLD CUP - DUBAI & THE ABC CONNECTIONS
16 years 2 months ago
It would not be right of us not to have a special post for the clansfolk who have runners on the night and who contribute to this site.
Puffin - All the best with your world beater Jaypeg. I really do hope that he wins and doubles up on the Duty Free and all of our and your excitement. He really does not have much more to prove. Mawing is the perfect replacement for Anton. I just hope that he has been practising on a tight rope for this race. Have a good one mate. I will be shouting him alll the way home.
Barry Irwin - Russian Sage may have found his race and I reckon that he has more than a good chance of winning. All the best to you. I will be shouting Russian Sage home too.
I really do hope that the racing media in SA forces this event and the results into the forefront of the main stream media this year. Our national anthem, I have no doubt, will be ringing out around the world and I will be standing proud. I hope that you are not too proud to give our horses, trainers, Jockeys Breeders and owners the credit they deserve.

couldn't agree more, all the best with your runners guys, and for me i would really love to hear the commentator shout HERE COMES 'THE BOY' in the World Cup for MDK and for Asiatic Boy to win it, regardless that he's not SA bred or owned, he's an SA runner for me.

I must admit that I am pretty dissapointed that posters have not had a few word of encouragement for the ABC clansfolk with runners.
Last year I made 2 appeals to Carte Blanche to run a story on the success of our horses,Jockeys, Trainers and Breeders, obviously without success. I may be starting to understand why they did not do a story on this. If you cant generate interest on a horseracing forum then what chance do you have when running a story in the mass media.

Hibby was on Odds Checker - do you print screen and paste to paint / word? I thought that it would be cool to show odds to the clan for all the big races - Sheema, Duty Free and World Cup.
