Larry Wainstein

A few months ago I teased Larry Wainstein on these boards for failing to come through with a method that would enable me to watch live racing from South Africa in my home in Kentucky.

Much to his credit, Larry agreed that the challenge was a bit more difficult than even he realized.

Well, I am thrilled and delighted to report that just before I headed to the airport to return home this week from the National Yearling Sale, Larry called me in my hotel, asked to come for a visit and while there had an IT fellow download some softward on my laptop that now allows me an unfettered view of live racing in South Africa!

This will help me to better evaluate my own horses and give my racing partners around the world a chance to watch their horses when they perform.

That you Larry Wainstein!!!

Hi Barry, is this software freely available ? Some of us in the UK would love the opportunity to watch SA racing from the comfort of the armchair.

Please share the secret...

Betting shops are the only place to watch them now, cards and form is hard to come by tho and the vaal will have to fight it out with portman park(virtual racing) for wall space..This reminds me got a race to watch

Usually only show first 4 races - that's why night racing in Oct is a 'big deal' - last uk race 5.30 your time - night horses dogs don't start to 8pm ur time = 6/7 races 'prime exposure' revenue generating - no?

That's why, the amount that goes back into the 'racing pot' from said overseas markets is soooooo important = a good deal wil mean a potential 'enormous' payday for racing SA IF distributed fairly. . .

Jim if you find 1 of the big bookmakers main branches, they should show all south african races(if it doesnt clash with cartoon dogs), watched marks horse run today
and it was the 8th race..
