Racing at Greyville on Friday night regressed into the usual lucky
numbers game that we've become accustomed to recently in KZN; the Pick6
produced a R1.1million payout (95% won) turning the formbook into
nothing more than rough bog-roll! That leaves R55k to start off the pool
today but it's another puke-worthy meeting and with heavy weather
predicted there's little to warrant an opening of the wallet.
As bad as the racing has been lately, next week things take an explosive
change in direction as Wednesday's meeting offers the best punting
potential seen in a while down here. Friday night also looking good with
the Drill Hall Stakes heading up affairs and this is much more like the
season time we've come to expect.

Monterey Boulevard takes the 5th race at Greyville
(pic Gold
Circus)

The unstoppable force of nature called the losing streak is friend of
no-one yet an acquaintance of us all; punters, trainers, jockeys,
owners.. everyone gets their turn and no one more so than Mike Miller
who produced an uninterrupted losing streak of 59 runners over a period
of almost 2 months (last winner 4th March). As they say though, the
wheel turns.. and Friday night at Greyville on his 60th attempt he got
back in with Monterey Boulevard (pictured) paying R14.40 a win on the
tote.

Morning Leon, thanks again, I am sure many of us punters can beat Mike Miller's record after this weekend?
