Was anybody out there able to decipher "Da Strydom Code" on USO. He seems to be arriving horses who "arent distance suited" and other excuses and running the ones with chances nowhere.
The question I have to ask myself is: Why do teleytrack interview him when its quite evident by the comments and smiles on the faces of the panel that he is probably misleading everyone?
Anway back to my comment of yesterday, if you want to win every now and then you have to think like a criminal.

Not sure I agree, Al; the way I see it he gives his opinion on USO after 'studying form' (like we all try and do) and his experience of having ridden some of his rides previously (like Cantabro). Come racetime, however, it may turn out that his opinions of certain horses are wrong; so what is he to do - pull the horse so that his predictions on USO are correct, or ride to win?

Don't be fools and listen to jockeys please. Striker should stick to riding then worry about giving his form analysis on his rides. A brilliant jock but a crap tipster.

Jockeys have opinions, and like all of us they will be wrong most of the time. It's not terribly complicated.

Nice debate. I religiously watch USO on the weekends and have definitely noticed a trend. Why do you think the studio folk smile after each of his interviews? Example Woodruff says horse has a great chance to win but distance may be a slight concern. Strydom says that he does not know why woody has him in the race. Horse wins well. I suppose in his defence he apparently does not ride work from what Ive read on this site, and the trainer would probably no more about the horses chances.
He is one of SA's best but I wouldnt rely on any info that he gives.
