Let's Rock 'n Roll APPIE RACE

I have / had the pleaseure of owning a share of Let's Rock 'n Roll ( Elvis for short )
Today there's an appie race held in his honour. He won this race 3 years ago today at fantastic odds of 50/1. It is also exactly 3 years ago today that young Elvis had her 1st race ride, at Scottsville.

Ass. trainer " Dr." Darreny Mckonky WAS then the assistant trainer to Paul Matchett. Today he's the assistant traner to Lisa Harris & in this appie race they train MOONEE VALLEY.
Darren I hope Lightning can strike twice for you in this particular race - I know you'd like to win this one. Tell young appie D.D. to pull his finger out & bring home the bacon - I believe he's about 8/1 not bad at all.

It's just a pity young Elvis was not given a ride in this appie race - This race I would have liked her to win in Honour of Let's Rock 'n Roll & for her dad.

Just a quickie from my side; my late dad died 9 years ago today; he always favoured no 12 - especially at Gosforth Park; he used to say 'Gosforth Park is 12'. So my wife and kids are watching the race with me as they start to load; each of us pick a horse; my wife picks 12 - because of my late dad; check the result: 12-7-5 and the trifecta pays 2 grand

Thats really strange because most of my PA was made up of 12's and strangely enough I dreamt of a set of numbers which were the date of birth of my late mom.

Well I survided the first leg of the P6 with Tupolev who I thought had a chance at the weights on his last run (I very nearly picked him for the competition) and I have bankered Vacherin and Merlene who off course are both no 12's

Not so good any more - had the 2nd, 3rd and 4th horses - but the winner only in a small JP (sulk); PA also gone (SULK)

It has been tough but thanks Felix for proving that there is life after 50! Mind you my mate Laff is living proof of that as well...lol!
