Scotia on the weekend
16 years 5 days agoGood afternoon all and hope we survived the festivities of last weekend, it certainly was a blast with the Bulls superb win. After watching the game and the British Lions,(1/100), thought they should just get back on the plane, but would appear to have recovered with a good win last night so roll on the tests.
The Boks remain favs at 4/10, and 12/10 for 3-0 win.
Some great racing this weekend and don't forget the competition from Hollywood, in addition we have the Pocket Power silks from sahorseracing, great stuff, I will be giving it a go, they would look lovely in the box.

To help you pick the winners, we now have www.formgrids.co.za on board to enable A.B.C. to be a "one shop stop" so you can study form, share your thoughts, have a bit banter and take a bookie of your choice to have a bet. I hope you enjoy this addition to enhance your site visits. Have a look at the bookies and betting Forum.
Barry Irwin is in new York for the Belmont Stakes in addition he has Captains Lover running and is rather bullish about her chances.
I am still confident that Mind That Bird will win the big race and the 12/10 on offer is a great price imo.
We have the Derby and Oaks this weekend where Sariska still heads the boards at 3/1, with Rainbow View (my fancy) and Midday at 7/2.
For the Colts we have Sea the Stars at 7/2, Fame and Glory 9/2 and my fancy a win for O'Brien with Rip Van Winkle at 5/1.
Rainbow view
After the great win by J.J. Lucky will be boarding the plane to see his champ in action, dying for a picture of him with the top hat and tails for the home page.
I was still hoping for the Kings Stand and Golden Jubilee double, however looks like he is taking on Sacred Kingdom, at this stage the best I could find was 6/1 joint favs for what should be a classic. Yeats is back at the top of the boards for the Gold Cup at 7/2, with Patkai and Geordieland at 5/1.
In addition the Ascot event has attracted Gladiatorus for the Queen Anne, and Mastercraftsman for the St James Palace and it should be a feast of racing.
I am sure plenty opportunities for our local bookies to start pricing up early on these events.
The big race locally is the Daily New 2000/Woolavington, and I am not sure if we have priced up yet? Opportunity knocks.
If you are into Cricket, the twenty/20 should be great stuff, India and S.A are joint favs at 4/1 ish.
Not sure what I am doing the weekend, but get the impression food and drink will be involved.
Good punting and may your God be with you.

p.s. I see Great Odds are coming to the party after the bargain offer on J.J. they have specials on the Derby.

For sure after today, might go for a vindaloo with "eruption" sauce.
