MDK Website sticks us out

Equal Image near his peak. Finished last
Zirconeum "has a hard task". Wins
Forest Path Big Runner worst of the three MDK runners.
Just saying.

"Just saying" is an interesting expression.
Let me translate it for you: I am deadly serious but I don't have the balls to say it seriously.

I read the article in question again and the title for the thread is way off the mark.
In general there is no reason anyone should be following trainers advice of where a horse will finish anyway.
All they can tell us is info about their horses condition as well as give possible reasons for bad runs, which MDK is usually appreciably open and honest about.
The formbook and race track is the place to find out if a horse is good enough.
Since when did trainers become tipsters?!

Mr Irwin,
How do you feel about the fact that your stable scratched one of your horses today so that they could put the stable jockey up and punt your other horse?Lovely babies!
You continuously state that you don't punt,so I don't think such things reflect very nicely upon you.

Most trainers have not put a leg over a horse..how can they tell...
some other trainers have been jockeys before...even as jockeys they could not tell what was going to win...
simple test... if they so clever, why are they so poor....

perhaps... you could be right...
all is not always what it seems...
example...to maintain a balance sheet of R50m...costs R230k per month...
the problem is....some months, it could be a strain to gather the R230k...

At the end of the day its always best to make your own choices.
I have heard from trainers and jockeys for years and I normally put more money on if it comes from the source, but at the end of the day its good to hear if a horse is well, but its your money, so you make the decision, don't blame anyone else, the guys are just trying to give a FREE service to the public, and horses can make fools us of all.
good punting!

Everybody wants 'transparency'....as long as it wins.
If it doesn't you will stand accused of 'sticking people out'
Funny old game this!!!
