THE KEEPERS OF THE QUAICH

Following the success of last years inaugural ball The Keepers of the Quaich
invite all South African Whisky Lovers to attend our

Traditional Highland Ball
Charitable Proceeds to the Foundation of Alcohol Related Research (FARR)
The Keepers of the Quaich, South African chapter, invite the public and Keepers alike, to reserve a table or two (or individual places) at their celebrated annual Highland Ball to be held on Friday, 24th July 2009 at The Westin Hotel Ballroom, Foreshore, Cape Town.

It’s Scotch Whisky’s Big Night Out and you can join in the festivities.
A traditional Highland dinner will be served accompanied by a diverse selection of the finest Scotch whiskies.

Celebrating diversity, 6 carefully selected whiskies will be served in sequence during the evening and all (together with the wine) are provided free of charge. Arrive with an open mind, prepared to sample your competitors’ products. The whiskies have been uniquely paired with each food course, all the better to enhance the flavours and aromas of both, so please pace yourself – you will not go short of a dram as you dance the night away!

Dinner will be interspersed with fun and interactive Highland and Country dancing to an authentic ceilidh band. For those unfamiliar with this kind of dancing, a fun practice session and lessons will be provided. Details to follow.

During the intermissions, the pipe band of the Cape Town Highlanders will perform their award-winning Afro-Celtic fusion set and later, a DJ will play that funky music for those who prefer to get down and boogie! A fine time is guaranteed.
