Latest ratings for sprinters
15 years 11 months ago
With all the discussion regarding JJ's run at Royal Ascot, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the latest IFHA ratings which includes races up to 21 June 09.
Here are the top rated turf sprinters since 1 December 2008:
122 Sacred Kingdom (Aus) *1st KrisFlyer International Sprint*
122 Scenic Blast (Aus) *1st Kings Stand*
121 Rocket Man (Aus) *2nd KrisFlyer International Sprint*
119 Apache Cat (Aus) *1st Pulse Pharmacy Australia*
119 Art Connoisseur (Ire) *1st Golden Jubilee*
119 J J The Jet Plane (SAf) *1st Al Quoz Sprint*
119 J J The Jet Plane (SAf) *1st Sportingbet.com Up Up And Away Leisure*
119 Takeover Target (Aus) *1st Sydney City Lexus T.J. Smith*
119 Takeover Target (Aus) *1st Distinctive Homes Goodwood*
Of the 7 horses listed, 5 are Australian! Not surprising but an impressive feat nonetheless.
J J's two wins are rated equal to that of the winner of the Golden Jubilee in which he finished 4th at Royal Ascot.

Not a great form student, but the horse that J J beat into third Dohasha(spelling) in the AlQuoz Sprint,Was beaten a head by Duff who JJ beat about a 1/2 a length in the Jubilee. JJ won the race in Dubai by 3 1/2 lengths so if you can transfer form from dubai to Ascot J J ran a bit off form? Please tell me if im wrong...lol

Still have a feeling JJ will run well in the July Cup.
