I hear they have been banned from studying UK Meetings. So they are allowed to wing it hen the races coe up and mumble something about a clock that tips and then off to Knuckkes it is .
Also heard the offrered Robert Garner fulltime position in KnUCKLES IF HE PROMISES NEVER TO COME BACK

They are far too busy acting as ATM machines for Phumelela crossing between Sweden/Ngong/Aus/uk/local and only focus is on the next jackpot and pick6 how many minutes left and the pool size.
It must be a pain to have to sqeeze the Coral Eclipse in between.

I know the Coral Eclipse coincided with the canter down for the July, and of course the latter had to take precedence, but excuses aside it may have been a leading candidate for the worst broadcast of a Gr 1 race in history.
Getting back to the original topic, nothing would surprise me less than to find that Tellyquack presenters are barred or at least discouraged from posting on forums. They might be tempted to say something unkind about their employer...and believe me, they would be VERY tempted.
By all accounts, that place sucks.

This is an interesting discussion. Just as a matter of interest - I don't think anyone is discouraged from posting on the forums (and it certainly isn't in their contracts). I do tend to e-mail on comments from the site to the various departments, so we / they might not always respond but we're taking notice.
As to presenters / employees making comments about the company on the site that are negative I think that is an interesting dilemma. Personally I don't think it is a good idea to slam your company online. There have been a few interesting cases recently with people being fired for being negative about the company they work for online (in the States and the UK - does anyone know of any in South Africa?).
On the other hand you have free speech.
What would you expect from your employees?

Margaret, I believe that staff are discouraged through a culture of non-tolerance.........have you ever tried phoning Tellytrack as a member of the public??????
Gold Circle and Phumelela all have the same policy when it comes to criticism and suggestions - ignore .Most of their customers are addicts and low-lifes anyway............that is what they think!
Presenter still reads these posts but he is now too hign and mighty to express an opinion - He must be chomping at the bit but I hope all the guys that defended him are now seeing how life works in Moronia or Rivonia wherever it is............

Thank you Margaret, I think the point being made is that it must be hell for a presenter, who has any feeling for the ethos of racing to have to remind the punters that Ngong, Sweden and France have 2 mins to go and here are the selection from xyz, sorry we have no proper form or established betting markets but time to get the jackpot pool to R5,000, we may have the Durban July or Eclipse running, but its beside the point, lets get these pools up.
I take my hat off to them and if they are "racing men" they must be sick with the events they have to promote on behalf of the company.
regards
dave
