why doesn't the trainer pay the jockey, which would then be reflected in the training fees invoiced to owners? surely it is the trainer and other connections who benefit from the jockey's services.
is it not ironic that the stakes pot pays the jockeys, and the punter is who funds the stakes pot, and yet when does the jockey ever ride for the punter?

greenbook i agree. this payment is for the owners and only them. i never have paid for a jockey ride

I caught the show again and have now recorded it. Larry definitely say " very few people now that the RA pay for the jockey rides"
