Hettie tomorrow has a mr of 84 so why is she carrying the same weight as the exposed horses with Mr in the 60`s?

jeez 12 views and nobody to explain..hibs hettie has a gross mr of 82 but being a 3yo she gets a weight for age allowance of 9kgs which makes her a net mr of 64.

alldepends on the distance here, plus as the mths go by the wfa scale comes down as the 3yos grow stronger..if you go onto the nhra website they have an easy to read explanation of merit ratings

Hib,
Official wfa scale is the same in SA and UK.
Remember, Jan in UK is same as Aug here.

The real issue here is how does Hettie end up with a MR of 82 as a one time winner ?
