Scotia after the weekend.

Good morning and hope you are well after another weekend?

I must say the highlight for me was the 100m final last night "lightning Bolt" beating a star studded field in the fastest race ever run at 9.58 secs and I would guess that 9.5 is the next target.
Look forward to the 200m. the 1/4 for the double now looks easy money.
As normal with atheletes running at that speed drugs are suspected, however the man is so fast that they have not been able to catch him to confirm.

Other highlights should be Bekele winning the 10,000m, 400m hurdles where a great race between Merritt and Warriner should be on the cards, the 4 x 100 relay should see Jamaica just edge the States and the 4x 400 should go to the American's.

The soccer season has kicked off and not many surprizes, thought Unt and Chelsea were a bit flat and Arsenal looked the best, its early doors but the Gunners have come in for support from 10/1 to 6/1.

The horses at stage would appear to be getting better by the day, I mentioned in a previous post that we have a superb group of potential champs at the moment, it is normal to find a superstar every few years, but since my last post Zenyatta has now made it 12 from 12

Zenyatta

Sea the Stars has be cut from 13/1 to 6/1 for the ARC, hope you listened to scotia's?
He runs at York on Tuesday and should beat Mastercraftsman in the Juddmonte International.
We have a thread for the Ebor meeting from York running on the Forum with all the latest.

Sea the stars

Sariska should come home lonely in the Yorkshire Oaks on Thursday.

Sariska

Goldikova wins a superb race in France on Sunday, see the Forum and check the video.

Goldikova

Rachel Alexandra also wins again since my last post, check the site to see the race.

Rachel alexandra

The question is, who is the best horse on the planet?

Rachel, Goldikova, Sariska, Zenyetta, Sea the Stars not forgetting Stacelita.

Good punting

scotia

during the 1970's...if you ran a 10.3...it was considered fast..
on the odd occasion we would get a 10.3 flat...

what these guys eat to do....9.5?
surely not mielie pap..
10.3 to 9.6 is about 10 meters...
