Russian sage at york Tomorrow..

Come on a yeah or nay?
Imo will take a bit of beating if ready to rumble, only 6 rivals at the moment and the 9/2- 5/1 is tempting....

Whilst I have no doubt Russian Sage will be there at the finish being the game horse he is I would be very careful of Lord Admiral, 14-1 is far too big. LA was only a few pounds off Jay Peg's best form judging on both Dubai runs in 2008 and is coming nicely into form.
That exacta will be a nice payout if it comes in.
Break a leg Barry!

Very interesting situation at York today....
When Pointing North(running in 3rd) met Russian Sage it ran to a MR of 7 points higher and neither has done much since.
Today RS off 116 ?? and PN off 105 ??
Maybe RS is a 98 or PN is 123(doubt it)
Although heart is with R Sage I will be with Forgotten Voice!

Would be interesting to see if Pointing North could come back to his SA form. He's only had those two modest runs in Dubai, surely better than that, and hasn't run since February. What's the new trainer like? B Smart: only scores around 11% winners.
Don't know about Russian Sage doing nothing much since running 2nd to Pointing North. Two Gr1 wins, two Gr2 seconds (one in Dubai, only a length off Balius) and 3 lengths off PP/DD in the July. He's only had 3 runs since leaving South Africa for two seconds and then a bad run when bleeding. Like Pointing North, he hasn't run in a while, almost 5 months.

Hope RS has recovered from all the problems of Dubai. MDK thinks he might need this outing.

My heart lies with Russian Sage but my head is with Forgotten Voice.
More interestingly though is an e/w bet on Mythical flight though. Back over his BEST distance and the opposition not being stellar, maybe he can sneak a place at decent odds. You won't get decent odds with bookmakers in SA though. He is trading at 20/1 here....in the UK, 33/1 and better!!!
Good luck to all the connections of the SA (previous SA) runners!

Sabre, that is the intrigue of horseracing....Russian Sage ran to a 98(after wfa) in that July....I hope he is a genuine 116 but wouldn't like to put my money on that yet!
