Barry,
The point I was making was about rating....time will tell if he is a 116 or a 98.I am happy to be wrong but yesterday, putting money where mouth is, my bet of the day was laying the place Russian Sage
Lucky maybe, but profit nevertheless!

Bob Faux, Timeform put him at 122 in Dubai.
Greg Bucks...it will be very difficult for Imbongi to win another Graded race this year in England. But if you care to have a bet against me, horse for horse, Russian Sage vs. Imbongi, for the remainder of the season in England, I would be most happy to oblige. Anybody else interested? Hop on board!
Chicken...watch the video and tell me how many times Russian Sage bobbled, stumbled and almost dropped to the flat ground.

From MDK website (ignore the part about him being a gelding. I hope one of my racing partners has a freaking heart attrack, as we bought him as a racing/stallion prospect and paid accordingly for each one of his testicles. Geez, yet another South African athlete that apparently requires a sex check. What is it with you people, anyway?)
RUSSIAN SAGE failed to kick on in Friday's Group 3 Strensall Stales at York, but Mike de Kock said the four-year-old's supporters should look at this purely as the gelding needing the run. He said that his charge was somewhat green on the track: “Kevin Shea reported that Russian Sage lost his action every time he went over a mound or a little undulation, but there are no excuses. I am not worried about this run, I believe Russian Sage has a Group win in him and he deserves another chance. He clearly needed the run after his break and was only beaten about 10 lengths, which is not a disgrace.”

I sincerely hope that I'm wrong about the SAGE and that he runs to his rating today......All the best.

Ran 7th of 12, beaten about 8L. Jockey reported RS bobbled repeatedly because he could not balance himself. Says he is better on Polytrack.
Horse will run once in mid November on Poly, after which a decision will be taken whether he should be returned to Dubai or sent to Justin Snaith to be prepared for the Durban July.
The horse looked much improved physically today, but he stumbled several times and was tired before he met the rising ground at Newmarket.
