Now those were the days Navy basics in Saldhana i went on awol every weekend Just paid the guys from Joburg 5 rand to do my duties. ABs and leading seaman were either too drunk or smoked up to realise who was who and who was missing. Spent 6 months there then to com school on top of Simonstown. Got onto a Frigate after course.

THEY ARE PIONEERS...
pioneers take the wrong route too..
sometimes they should rather wait..
if the Voortrekkers waited in the cape..till ORT (airport) was build..they could have taken a plane..
as long as they don't become settlers...

In defence of Tellytrack the best I can say is that it's all we are going to get, warts and all, so I suppose we may as well accept whatever they dish up. It can be a bitter pill to swallow, and this is a separate issue from the sploppy and slapdash way in which they all-too-often go about it, but the alternative is.....no coverage at all. That would be infinitely worse than the overcrowded and often frustrating coverage that we get now.
We can and will continue to be critical of TT, and given their pivotal role in the racing industry they simply need to try harder to provide information which is accurate and user-friendly, but at the end of the day they are all we've got.
I have heard via the grapevine that if Multichoice had their way Tellytrack would be dumped from the DSTV bouquet. More than one well-placed racing professional has told me this, so there must be truth to it. The chances of a second channel would therefore appear to be absolute zero, and let's be grateful that Multichoice are stuck with Tellytrack as much as they would prefer it to be otherwise.
None of this, however, excuses Tellytrack when it makes one blunder after another!
