Easy to understand...
the sum 75..years of service + age > 75..they must be retrenched..
now they are all grabbing unto straws....
hoping that they will be one of the 416 white faces still employed per town (840)..
plse dont see them as intelectuals..or academics...
put them in the same pool as these guys with their new phd's..
do an AVERAGE of the pool IQ...and ......still call them academic's...
RATHER CALL THEM "einsteins"
most of the guys holding these positions are all ex BROEDERBOND still..covering their backsides or have ANC connections...
they will be on the street corners in 10 years..begging...
dont tAKE ANY NOTE OF THEM...
THE SURVEYS ARE CORRECT...END OF STORY..
The fact is...They are now insulting me...
Saying.. Andre is Lying about the crime that he has experience...
and the people that were with me at the time..are they lying too..
and the people passing by...are they lying too..
and the neighbours...are they lying too..
and do you know what I think of them....well...
best they change their nationality..
they have disgraced themselves..
not worthy to be called South Africans any more...
we should stone them..
public hearing on saturday...
in the JHB CBD...13:00 sharp...cnr Rissik and Market..

Gajima, Hardhitting and realistical article....
On a lighter note.. Motor Mouth Malema goes swimming in the big blue ocean, and has a close encounter with a great white....gets back to the shore...
Comrades, we have to continue with the stuggle...I have been attacked by a great white, this is a racist attack

I still have a question..the same one I had before
Anaesthetists are leaving SA in droves..Anaesthetists have the longest qualifying period of most medical degrees (11 years) and are the peole that keep patients alive during surgery.
Most of the guys/ladies I know personally that have left did NOT want to go..these are highly intellegent academic people who have weighEd up all the pros/cons in the medical industry as well as the education field (on behalf of their kids)
Most are leaving for jobs with a nett disposable income far lower than they earn here in SA.
Those that leave to Oz land have to put up with being called "boat people"..even Profs that have gone to USA are treated as being "refugees" for lack of a better word
The country need these people to stay as the job they do is regarded as being of critical importance to the country
Other countries are headhunting them very aggressively..even setting up offices here to drive recruitement..SA 's training for this speciality is one of the best worldwide
Even those guys/ladies that a year ago said there is no ways on earth they would move are now looking at all options
Why then would these people who have unlimited work in SA and enjoy the country leave?

Oscar look at it this way.
Before 1994 the roads was a pleasure to be on.
It was nice to go out to our botanical gardens and parks.
Could drop the kids at the centre to go watch a movie.
Families went for long walks or cycled.
Played sports at the local school's rugby fields.
They are missing the real reason for live.
To be free once more.

Before 1994 people, using an Andrew West term, were "ring fenced". I do not believe that there was any difference in the levels of crime back then. It just was not in your face. The murder rate was hidden under the banner of political violence. Crime was just as rife.
It really is time to let go of this pre 94 "dream" if you want to call it that. The point is, and its clear by the views on this thread, that we need discussion on this issue as Umlilo has rightly pointed out. The time for blaming has to stop somewhere and this can only be done by breaking down the invisible racial barriers that surround all South Africans.
The Utopia you crave can be created but you must want to be a part of it. You must want to give up your time to sit and discuss issues. You must want to let go of the past. You must want to let go of being an armchair politician.
My single gripe is the sophistication of the post 94 criminal. Most of which has just walked over our boarders. This is my gripe but unless I find a medium to express this gripe, it will forever be a mute point.
If you really Love SA and think that it's broken, find a way to fix it!

alcaponee:
Your single gripe is shared by the majority of blacks also; they are muzzled by the Human Rights crusaders who protect (within the context of 'xenophobia') the thousands of criminals who have infested our country.
Look at the scams, drug dealers, heists, hold-ups, Hillbrow, etc; if SAPS and media discloses their identities, we will all be shokced out of our skins! Plus, who are employed (at peanut salaries) in most of the shopping malls- not local blacks! All this leads to 'xenophobic' outbursts; the Govt does not want to sort out the cause by shutting the borders, etc...!
Sympathy for genuine refugees; not for the criminal elements!
Yes, we have common concerns that need to be articulated- we are all under threat! A national indaba of like-minded (there are many)!

The best is our union Cosatu...
A Kingdom divided against itself cannot prosper..
Cosatu is forcing a paradox...two opposing ideas..
1.To create work...
South Africa must move from FUNCTIONAL DRIVEN BUSINESSES to PROJECT DRIVEN BUSINESSES, like the rest of the globe did during the 1990's
Entrepreneurs start small to medium size businesses on a PROJECT DRIVEN BASIS.
Hire staff on an as and when required basis..
Much like a taxi driver..
He does not own the taxi..
He comes in the morning..pays his R600 or so for the taxi..
Goes out..does his business..brings the taxi back with a full tank..
When a new Squatter camp evolves, the taxi driver makes more taxis available
None of the taxi drivers work for the taxi owners on a full time basis..
PROJECT DRIVEN CONCEPT
2. Banning of labor brokers
PROJECT DRIVEN BUSINESSES needs LABOR BROKERS to get staff on a “as and when “ required basis for the duration of the project phase or activity.
FUNCTIONAL DRIVEN BUSINESSES employ staff on a fulltime basis..
Much like the Government type maintenance businesses..
With signs.. ”Want to see the DEAD come alive, be here at FIVE”
A repository for ANC supporters..
Much like the 1980’s when it was a repository for NP supporters..
So, which is it going to be..
1. JOB CREATION – PROJECT DRIVEN BUSINESSES
2. BANNING OF LABOR BROKERS – FUNCTIONAL DRIVEN BUSINESSES
PS.. seems that PROJECT DRIVEN BUSINESSES have signaled the end of unions…????
