Andrewest:

Whilst I empathize with you regarding the situations you depict, I repeat- we have no leader with balls and brains on both sides to tell the trouble-makers to buck off!

There is this tendency amongst blacks to assume that this country is theirs only...Indians, Coloureds and whites are visitors or tolerated guests.

I have made it clear to some (on the FJZ site) that I, as a Khoisan descendant (like many other so-called Coloureds) have a greater right than the Bantu who invaded upto the Eastern Cape well after our ancestors were roaming the shores of Western Cape; we don't call for other race groups to be extradited! In fact, we have been reduced to the indigenous, discriminated minority and are equally victims of EE, which is seen to benefit African blacks only.

This selfish, short-sighted culture has been nurtured covertly for political gain amongst many unsuspecting blacks so that the ANC continues to enjoy popular black support. Now, step forward a black leader who unequivocably decries such statements!

Similarly, there is no white leadership of substance- they attack the ANC for reverse racism. I would rather whites joined the ANC at its local structures, attended meetings, and put their concerns on the table. The ANC is not communist; the SACP is not the ANC. Besides, communism is not workable & the majority of blacks will not support it. The more palatable alternative is a mixture of benevolent socialism with capitalism in our situation. Many European countries are socialists, and the sky hasn't fallen on them! The recent bail-outs by US and Britain were nothing short of socialism- using the people's taxes to rescue financial institutions. In Bolivia, the state took a 50% stake in BP; both parties are pleased!

During the 'apartheid' era, various services and utilities were nationalised, creating employment, housing, etc (albeit for whites).

Where is a white leader who can articulate on such issues?

We have already been told of directives to Government employees- "if you want to moonlight, get the hell out of civil service or Govt positions! If we get you, you're gone!" Let's not take such serious declarations with a pinch of salt; let's rather give our input and, also report the corrupt officials, etc.

There is this ever-widening chasm between white and black (don't let the BEE deals fool you); Africans are becoming more resentful of whites for their perceived disadvantage. People like you need to start talking to the man in the street, maid at home, staff at work, taxi drivers, security guard, cashier, casual workseekers, etc. You will be amazed at the humanity amongst them!

We need to re-assure ourselves that, as fellow human beings, we need one another; there is no place for racism or quotas.

But, like Partyline noted, when one door closes, 10 others can open up; when the going gets tough, the tough get going (not my quote!)

For instance, we need just one affluent racehorse owner on this forum on his next visit to the race tracks, to go up to a black punter and offer him a 10% share (free, and not free as being gratuitous) in a horse! Or,take 20 punters, and give them a 20% stake in a horse; free, of course!

Such a genuine gesture will not only thrust him/her into the limelight, but will do wonders for inter-race relations! The ramifications and consequences are mind-boggling!

I can telll you, without any fear of contradiction, that almost every black punter would love to own a racehorse. Once they own one, and experience first-hand the highs and lows of ownership, they will not only have a different perspective, but will also educate other punters. Many punters harbour the suspicion that the white trainers 'fix' races; Benneth Bulana will never win races as he does not know the 'muti' that the 'mlungus' use!

We all need to remove our blinkers to create an honestly united, proud South Africa! That will shut up the Malemas, Mlabas and Sisulus faster than lightning!

Is this enough or did I overstay your hospitality?

SCOTIA:

You are right, this has been a classic thread, devoid of personal attacks (besides the obvious jests!) & a tribute to you that it has been aired on ABC. One day, perhaps, TellyTrack will have the balls to invite such discussion live, uncensored!

Thank you; the credits, however, are due to you & all the posters who have not only inspired one another, but have conducted themselves with such aplomb & dignity.

Hope the rest of SA (especially the nepotists, corrupters, enriched, etc... who readily resort to racism as a defense/deflection; no matter the issue!) can learn from us!

well said Umlilo. It would be good if SAF could get over this mountain and strive for a true meritocracy...alas it is a long way still and I suppose one has to walk before being able to run.
Huntley only serves as the catalyst in pointing out where the self-important current rulers are going wrong. AT some stage they are going to HAVE TO admit that the crime is unbearable and driving people (of all races and values) and business out of the country.
Perhaps this soccer world cup can help, and perhaps getting the rugby world cup will help, and then perhaps the olympics will help unity through a common goal. In the meantime work on the tourist trade, it is growing, i was surprised at how many operative little game farms had sprouted as of late when I visited - world class places!!

Partly because I am too lazy to work..and partyly because I need to eat..I spend a great deal of time at the various coffee shops in the morning from 7am till 11am...

I enjoy the ones with tables on the pavement...
but these coffee shops have become the place where the "RICH" woman hang out..
and these coffee shops have become the place where the "GRAB and RUN" hang around...

RICH AND STUPID WOMAN..

EACH have rings the size of a R2 coin..
Rolex or whatever the fashion is at the moment..
CEllphones X2..the best...lying on the table..
having them on display..ASKING TO BE ROBBED...
and PUTTING the OTHER GUESTS at RISK at the coffee shop...

GRAB and RUN tugs..
Each one I have caught or spotted..age between 18 to 30..
still fleet footed..can run like hell..thats them..not me..
they all got TRAMPSTAMPS on the arms and hands..
they all got scars on the face or arms..from cuts..knifes...bottles..and a few from me..from my axe..
they are obviously not employed..
fast forward to next year 2010..what will they be doing..
fast forward to 2015...still doing the same..
fast forward to 2020...still doing the same..but by then I cannot anymore..be 60

now these guys must eat..
now these guys must get money...
they start on this.. progress to thursday afternoon robberies at your house..to get money for the weekend..
Then HI-jack..
Then ATM
THen Cash-in-transit..

now look at the facts..

The coffee shops..
ave 30 tables..
25 tables occupied by whites..EE.BEE.AA..where must they go..
5 occupied by other races..there for business mostly..
FACT..WHO IS THE TARGET.....WHITE..

THE GRAB and RUN thugs..
normally 2 or 3...
first walk thru the tables..past the restaurant..on the pavement...
then go to a shop a few doors away..wait 5 min..
then come back..fast..grab..run..different directions..

The security guards on duty..they know these guys..but turn a blind eye..
The restaurant owner knows them too..same lot every 2 or 3 months..
most of these shops gets robbed 5-6 time a year..but the owners keep it still..

NOW WHO ARE THESE THUGS..
Huntley and his white mates...never..the WHITE GUYS at the coffee shop will put a white thug in traction..he will be spoonfed by a nurse for the rest of his life..

normally..I manage to catch 1 of the 2 or 3 thugs..when they grab and run..
the law is stuffed up..
If the guy does not have the items on him..he is innocent..but he dropped it when I started chasing him..
to call the police..a waste of time..he is suddenly the victim..then me and the cop have an argument..he wants my axe..I wont give the axe..eventually they will leave..
I normally put the axe on the table..and tell him..if he takes my axe..it's theft..then I am going to arrest him..then we have a standoff...

The Government says ...NO CRIME...it's true..no crime..soon..these guys wont be able to commit crime..all we need to do is...break every finger..every arm..every leg...and when the cops arrive..we act stupid...dont know....he must have slipped...

OR ALTERNATIVE

the government must admit that :

1. CRIME IS HIGH
2. THEY HAVE LOST CONTROL..

ps..since I retired in september 2004..I have been involved in 7 cases..
2 Hi-jacks
3 break ins
2 robberies at the restaurant while I was eating..(not Coffee shop)
spur...they sat as customers ..11 of them...all around the restaurant..
4 came in..blocked the door..
took 3 min max..the job was done...
ZIMBABE ARMY GUYS...professional..

and for those that think we need to look past the reality..
get someone to break your leg...then enter into a 100m sprint..

I read in the paper that a burglar was trying to get onto the roof of a house so that he could in via the sky light. Whilst climbing up the drain pipe he slipped and fell and broke his leg. He could not get away and the neighbours came out to see what had happened. They phoned for an ambulance and the police. He was taken away in the ambulance to hospital. Two days later he gets discharged from hospital and guess what? He sues the owner of the house that he was intending to rob for having a faulty drain pipe. The owner of the house has to cough up 2k for "loss of earnings" Only in UK can this happen

C&C

the problem lies deeper than the eye sees..

there are about 10, 000,000 of these guys hanging around the shops during the day..allover RSA

yep..about 10 million...

why dont they work..
I wont either for the money they are to be paid..

Expectations were created in RSA by the multi nationals such as MICROSOFT AND ORACLE...

as a MSCE..the guys were made to believe that they would earn up to R20k pm
as DBA's the guys were made to believe they could earn the same..

many an education institution sprung up allover RSA..
it was good money to own a BOSTON or any of the others..

almost very black, younger than 30, have a shoe box full of certificates..
certificates obtained from BOSTON, INTEC, DAMLIN etc..
all on MICROSOFT and ORACLE products..
most guys have spend > R50,000 over the last 5 years obtaining these certificates...
if you calculate the transport, the books, the exams..>R50k..

the problem..they were issued these certificates for attendance...
most..if not all are clueless when it come to doing the work..
It's not their fault..
for someone to earn R20k pm..a bit more is needed than what they were fed..or made to believe...

so eventually..these guys run out of money...
have spend >R50k the last 5 years to get an education..to make a honest living.
their mates..who did not waste the >R50k on meaningless education.. are having a ball...
so, these guys revert to the same....

I dont blame them....

who must rectify this..
all the multi nationals that bullshitted the youngsters...
all the education centres that took the money...

to get a better understanding..

they took these guys...teaching them to swim..back stroke..

they put them on the lawn..made them practise the arm swing and the leg kick..
did this for 4 weeks...
gave them each a certificate as ..."professional backstroke swimmer"
told them to come back if they want to for other advance courses..Butterfly etc.

then send them out with a boat to 2 mile at sodwana..tip them backwards of the boat..and said..see you at the shore line..

1. tonight, on TV, I heard the Min of Police spell out clearly what needs to be done to curb crime- no mercy for criminals!

2. Earlier, I read an article wherein a black judge calls for consideration of capital punishment (the noose) for serious crimes.

Govt admits that crime is high. Gauteng Premier Nomvula Makonyane, did not mix her words about tackling crime; she is a tough cookie!

Instead of continually moaning about crime, we should endorse such comments without factoring in race.

Currently, we are still going through a transitional phase; our success depends on how honestly we adapt to the changing situation. Mind you, there were over 20-million blacks who could not read and write prior 1994! The majority of whites were oblivious of the lives of blacks in townships and in the homelands- even to date, many do not know!

In terms of cultural transference & hereditary theories (Bernard Shaw I think), this gap is going to take 50+ years to bridge. Right now, many blacks are in the infancy stage, learning about their new-found toys and abilities, as they progress from naivity to knowing and understanding; the learning curve, to wit.

That,(here we go!), I blame wholly on 'apartheid' for depriving the majority of Africans participation in mainstream activities and involvement. If not, we all could have been competing on level terms; not EE. However, we need leaders to (once again) articulate the concerns of those who feel so insecure & threatened, such that they do not resort to racist outbursts to justify their frustration.

Strange but true- when you criticise the ANC (like Leon), you get promoted to ambassadorship (shipped out of the country)!

Try praising them; you can probably end up in Parliament or Cabinet! Fortunately for all of us, Pres Zuma is people-friendly and dedicated; let's credit him for his positives and build on them!

The oppression, exploitation and enslavement of indigenous peoples is not unique to South Africa, or a new development- it's been there since the time of the Romans...and even before.

However, it is a sad indictment on any nation when the oppressed become the oppressor...or, even worse! That, the ANC leadership has to come to terms with. History is littered with nations that collapsed due to such arrogance and insensitivity.

It is against this mosaic that I plead with everyone, let's uplift one another- there is nothing to lose (besides pride)!

What I find more amusing is the opposition parties making so much noise.

the citizen page 3 of friday 4 september..

ANC's 1994 victory "exaggerated"

it seems that the ANC did perhaps not win the election..
when reading the article..one of two reasons..

ONE
the guys counting could not count that far..one,two..many..
"according to the book, so chaotic was the 1994 election that no ACCURATE result could be COMPUTED"

TWO
Opposition parties initially wanted to challenge the election result, but in the end they chose rather to accept it. For to question the outcome or demand a rerun of the poll was to risk throwing the country into the vortex of the peoples war once more...

sounds like objections at the races...

FOR THE SAKE OF THE PUNTERS...THE RESULT STANDS....

How can a Government expect the citizens of the country to be lawful when they themselves are a bunch of liars and thieves.

umlilo,

I have nothing to do with the black "APARTHEID"...

not all whites did benefit from APARTHEID..

In fact..it was APARTHEID that send me to the army...and if I did not go..5 years in jail..and being made a girlfriend..

In fact..it was APARTHEID that got some of my family killed in the so called war

In fact..it was APARTHEID that stuffed me around because every year I had to go for a camp..

IN fact..it was APARTHEID and BROEDERBOND that stopped me from getting a nice job...

IN fact..it was APARTHEID and BROEDERBOND that stopped me from getting promotions..why do you think I became a IT contractor in 1984...my father was not BROEDERBOND...hence I WAS @#$%^&*()_+...in any permanent position..would not get promoted..

During 1988...because I did not study at Stellenbosh...not part of the click...

In fact..it was APARTHEID and BROEDERBOND that stopped me from getting overdraft and other facilities from TRUSTBANK and VOLKSKAS...

Why dont the BLACK GOVERNMENT go and get all those assholes that shunted us around during the time 1970 to 1994..and @#%^&*()_+ them...

during my school career..boarding school..
I went to visit one of the town boys at his house..
his father was a very prominent person at PUK in Potchefstroom..BROEDERBOND
his mother called him to the side..and said..dont let him in the house..they come from the mining town..he might steal our stuff..
I still mock him every 10 years when we have reunion..

so..everyone that is stuck on APARTHEID..ag shame..see the tears in my eyes..grow up..get over it..and get on with life......I HAD to...

and to the assholes that keep apologising for APARTHEID..you must have been a child of the BROEDERBOND..good.. the wheel has turned..now you are getting the brand which you rightfully deserve...

VIVA the rainbow nation..that which is not straight and true...that we will break and get it back in line...then we will stand...a straight and true nation..
