umlilo,
the national gambling board will give 300 bookmakers licenses away to BEE companies....in the next few months..they have been thinking about it for a long time...they have to...to get the numbers right...
They gave the licenses away during the early 80's to the whites..
why dont you and me create a BEE company, find 300 current shebeen owners that have SAB accounts (they have been vetted by SAB), get the tote to put 3 or 4 tab machines into each shebeen, and go 50/50 with the shebeen owner.
I will put all the processes, checks and balances in place..
They can all start off by being traders..not bookmakers standing the bets..
all bets can be taken back at better odds, before laying the bet to the punters in the shebeen..
also the shebeen will get 4 % kickback from the tote..
also the shebeen can run limited payout slot machines on these bookmaker licenses..
it's not going to cost us a cent..
and you will make at least R1K per sheebeen per month..ie R300 per month
I have been a bookmaker..Better Odds..stood 39 times ..won 39 times...books open for inspection at the gambling board..
can put this hole deal together for the shebeen owners to allow them bets on 2010 soccer and beyond..can be rolled out before XMAS..
Tote will be happy..
SAB will sponsor some prizes...
Shebeen owner will be happy...
punters will be happy...
you will be happy..
SARS will be happy...
and last but not least..I will make a packet...(dont let the ex wife or girlfriend find out...)

andrewest:
can I set up a meeting with Pres Zuma (I might have a hot line to him, forget the Call Centres!)
Talking of the Call Centre he's to install, why don't we include this one also: Every shebeen outlet can have a 'hot line'!
But then, I've already been granted asylum for Canada (I'm too white to be black in this country)! Also, as a member of the extinction-threatened Khoisan, indigenous, minority, I am under serious danger at all times!
For the past 10-odd years, the black (African) government pointedly refuse to even acknowledge all my representations to them for fear of contamination. The new Zuma brigade is even worse- they sent me a CD of 'Mshini wam'!
A good one, Andrewest! We need to laugh it off...even seriously!

scotia:
tnx for the timely intervention- I was about to test the 'umshini wam' on andrewest to see if it works; they say it's faster than an AK47 but still can't beat a Molotov cocktail!
Anyways, I am writing to you from this holding cell (jail, they call it, me thinks).
You see, when I received confirmation of my acceptance to Canada as a threatened species refugee, they said I must make my own way. Well, that retired racehorse you so kindly donated to me to be mobile, died just the udder day. So, I decided to 'borrow' one from the stud farm (which belongs to an African black). Late at night, I jumped over the rails and took the first one that I liked.
As I was on my way to Canada (by horse trail), an army of African soldiers and police chased, caught and nearly lynched me dead. They say it's OK to steal from a white farmer; NEVERRRRR from an African!
Now, I'm in jail! NO, they did not assault me as I read out my rights according to the Cosntitution. Noentheless, I have a broken scapula, two swollen eyes, right hand in plaster, and this feeling of being very, very sick and weak. They told me I fell of the horse when they tried to stop me. Bloody shits, they should havew told the horse to stop! Will you visit me?
Now, scotia, I am worried more than ever before- no, not about not going to Cananda, but about going there!
You see, in this prison, I met a what they call 'mule'. He tells me to go anywhere but Canada.
Why?
He says that the only reason the Candadians want me (as a Khoisan, indigenous African) is that they have a problem with their own indigenous Indian Canadians. If I go, they will force me to corspulate (what's that?) with Indian Canadaian females & give them babies. In this way, I will help dilute their population so that, eventually, there will not be Indian Canadians, but Khoinidians or Coloureds. I will be their saviour!
Now, you know, Coloured can be anything; coloured glasses, paintings, views, bars....!
Besides, he says, there is no 'ganja' in Canada; climatic conditions too cold to grow it like how I keep this pot in my backroom to keep me warm and my mind sharp! Right now, it's foggy!
Hell, you can't even brew 'gavine' (African booze) there; the banana and pineapple peels never ferment no matter how long you store them underground in 44gallon drums. You know why; 'cos there's no bananas and pineapples growing in Canada. That's why Canadians are not bananas and have low fertility (no pineapples)!
I have told you in just a few words my predicament; no 'ganja'????
How will I ever be able to think crooked again?

Maybe the entire Huntley generation...all under 35 should leave and find asylum.
sound strange for me to utter these words...
My generation had the same option...
we could not read the writing on the wall..
we thought it was african art...
FW de Klerk said just before the 1994 handover...
He had arranged an eight year (until 2002) period in wich the ANC would not implement their policies to the full....
Those of us that wanted to leave..had an eight year period..to sell our properties..businesses...send money overseas..etc...and leave..
Most of the South African "RICH" did that..
Sappi moved to Zurich..
Anglo moved..
De Beers moved the stock pile...
Old Mutual listed outside RSA..
etc...
It's only from 2003 that the ANC started implementing their policies..
Nothing wrong with the policies...
need policies for the masses..the majority..
makes sense to any one that understand sums..
When looking at political science...
the following pattern emerge...
all revolutions are followed by a second revolution..
the time period between the first revolution and the second revolution is determined by the prosperity of the country...
The second revolution is characterised by violent strikes by the masses..
Zimbabwe had the first revolution 1981...the second 28 years later 2009..
South africa, being a more prosperous country had the first revolution
1994..the second 14 years later 2008...
Bosnia...
Russia...
etc.
Property taxes..
the plot we grow cabbages...
paid R605 pm in rates and taxes to the Town council...until now..
objected on wednesday..at the town council..
new rates were R3526.00 pm..
They have recalculed the rates...now R1806 pm...
Still 3 times what I use to pay....
Well, I will stop paying the Town council... and the bank...
have 600,000 cabbages per month coming from the plot..hydroponics..
sheriff will aution it in perhaps 18 months...should get away that long..
Guess a lot of guys are gone go hungry then...
our generation did not want to read the writing on the wall..
perhaps our generation did read the writing on the wall..but did not understand the writing on the wall..
perhaps our generation did understand the writing on the wall..but did not know what to do..
So, our generation is caught in time..no country wants us..
if you are over 45..Australia does not want you...
EU...you need an EU passport...and over 30...not so sure they want you..
Not even Mauritius wants us...
Tasmania WILL TAKE US.. if I can loose 60kg..to be a jockey..
So, what are we going to do..
our generation..simple..when in rome, do like the romans do..we stay and steal them blind..
we will punt..stay behind..bitch.moan..and die at the ripe old age of 120..
the Huntley generation...
Sell..give all away...go..start a new life..
by the time you are 48..my age...you have paid 17 years on your home bond, have a pension fund that is 17 years old..
And for those of you that take this as negative..
rather see the possitive..
At least I am warning you..
Prepare yourself..put the money in Euros..open acccount in UK via standardbank
The government is broke..
no company taxes from the +840 JSE listed companies for the next 3 years..
very little PAYE from employees..being fired..like the army..or retrenched..
Vat..from what..who is buying..
Transfer duty on property sales..10% of what it was in 2006..
during 1988..
Old mutual bragged on national TV..
they were receiving more than R84m per day in premiums...
wonder if the recieve >R500K per day now..
Spoornet (TX,CX & PX) ....were collecting R220m per day at the time..
now..Spoornet is collecting < R200m per month.....
Who is going to lend them money...canada..???
maybe Zim can repay the $1 Billion loan we made to them in 2000....
sound strange for me to utter these words...

hibernia, if andrewest carries on with the verdriet we'll all be committing suicide on the forum soon...its just downright depressing! look at the positives - SAF couldnt have carried on the way it was! fact. It could've gone much worse from day 1 but didnt. fact. The change is happening slowly and gives everyone a chance to adapt, and some are adapting quite ok, from both sides of the poles - the haves and the have-nots, yes it isnt easy but was never going to be anyway. fact. Most of the Huntley generation (of which I am one) is abroad not forever, and will bring back 1st world skills. fact. South Africans are innovative, they will find a way to make it work, fact. They better!!!! - starting with the soccer world cup - keep it together Saffas!

Andrewest you draw an interesting picture mostly true.
At least we have very good teachers for the day that we move to the informal settlements.
The squater camp where i would resides name will be De Klerk camp.
The tyres that we will burn on the highway will come from looting the Coca Cola depo in Devland.
My wife will do the ironing three times a week at Mrs.Naidoo's house in Lenasia.
I will be out with the gang to rape Mrs. Ndlovu and steal her cellphone to sell to Mr. Patel from the Patel & brothers supermarket in Mayfair.
My cousin will be the blind man at the Rivonia crossing.
You will hear my sister at night drunk in the streets in Krugerdorp.
But it will be fine.
None of us will go to jail we just keep on sharing with the cops.
