kobus:

about beginning of last month, I receievd this Witspos marked letter at my residence. Inside, typed written 'hanif the drug family..'
Attached, a press cutting about 4 chaps who appeared at the Lens court on charges of drug manufacturing and dealing. One of the names (underlined in red) Ishmael Manjoo, my surname!

Well,Kobus, together with the Patels, Khumalos, Van Rensberg, Fortunes & Agliottis, as a genuine Manjoo, I can now enter this lucrative trade; how about you joining me for sole distribution rights of drugs in the horseracing industry? Besides this chap (no near relative of mine & I don't even know the family- my family is from KZN) knows how to manufacture & will give us tips on marketing (Why didn't the RA or Phumelela employ him?).

On my side, I have a cousin who was a lecturer in analysing drugs- he can prepare the 'mixes' which the doping tests will never pick up! Also have a brother, uncle & cousin who are pharmacists- they can come up with the 'right' combinations!

I can recall my vet cousin from Dubai to enlighten us on the latest 'medication' to improve performances- maybe a new form of horse viagra!

Lastly, I have my 'connections' within Govt whom I can call on,just in case they 'pick' us up- they'll put us into 5 star accommodation, I promise!

Before I forget, as a kid in Colenso, I smoked ganja with Bheki (am sure it was Cele!). We also used to steal peaches from the mlungu's yard!

So, Bekhi Cele should be our 'friend'- if we smoked and stole together, why can't we....again? And again? And again? Sorry, should have sed 'repeatedly'!

Finally, we don't need so much cash to buy drugs. Last month, when I went to my GP for the gastric 'flu, she gave me enough drugs and pills for a year (I had to get a courier truck to bring them home!)

Also, 2010 is around the bend kobus, imagine all that lolly with the foeriegners who will want our branded stuff, forget Nike!- what ya say?

Have to go now...there's client at my door who insist on 'Durban poison'! He's got a donkey with to 'taste test' the stuff and check the expiry date, seeds, stem, etc!

Either you with me, or, you against me!
Now, that will be BEE!

Don,

My daughter turned 30 last month..
have the same idea..your entire generation..google "GENERATION Y" and see
work overseas and bring first world skills back to South Africa..

firstly..do you think it's DARK AFRICA..
our generation knows more than what you can ever learn abroad..
Apartheid brought sanctions..
we had to learn to RTFM...Read The F..... Manual..

during 1985/86..FNB migrated to HOGAN..
SAFRICOM brough 96 contractors in from all over the world..
Only 6 locals were hired..I was one of them..
Supposingly the best they could find for money in the world..
found 1 guy from Norway..Jacob Freuland..10 years my senior..that knew more..the rest..

your generation on the other hand..
take any of your guys..
take any guy that wrote std10 maths last year..

answer this..I have been 31 years out of school..

how many ways can a ALGEBRA SUM BE RESOLVED...
you guys dont know...
5 ways..
1. completion of the sqaure
2. factorising
3. substitution
4. formula
5. graphically

What do you guys know about nano technology...
in 7 years from now..
all South African household will use Nano technology instead of getting electricity from ESCOM..

What do you guys know about bio technology...
we can alter your blood in 15 min..to allow you to stay under water for 30 min at a time...

Why do we have a financial crisis...
its your generation..
best educated generation in history..MIT...Harvard
Who put the policies, checks and balances in place..your generation..
Who collapsed the economy..your generation..

your generation are the same as the Somali pirates..
In South Africa..your generation hi jacked the +842 JSE listed companies..looted them..sunk them...

Spoornet were collection +R220m per DAY..our generation...
Spoornet is collecting < R200m per MONTH..your generation...

please dont bring any of that FIRST WORLD KNOWLEDGE back to SOUTH AFRICA from ABROAD...

follow this conversation..I had with her boyfriend..the day I met him..

picture this..set the scene..
At my front door, I have a garden fork..red..bought it from Built Plumb and Tile down in Beyers Naude drive..close to cresta..
This I use to sort out the idiots comming up Hillel drive..
11pm at night..
pressing the intercom at every gate..
Hear the dogs barking from the 1st house..
so by the time they get to me..
I let the dogs out ..11 of them..and me with my fork..

The boyfriend..looks like a cross between tarzan and the hulk..
plastic...gym..steriods..32 years old..

what do you do for a living..
I am an engineer..worked abroad..
Oh..Who do you work for now...
my uncle..
What do you do...
Shop fitting..
but its July..there are no new shops opening this time of the year..(me)
yes, we are inbetween jobs...
O'h..your are unemployed..where is your car..I see you are driving my car..
(every father that has a daughter, buys a car for another man's son)..
I think you must beter leave..
so the young man got agressive..tarzan/hulk/plastic..
took a few swipes at me..the garden fork did the job..
4 holes in the one leg..in the front..
4 holes in the 2nd leg on the side..
8 fingers were needed to stop the bleeding..
dad...dad..stop..I love him..
not in my house...out..
needless to say..he is also gathering 1st world skills in EU land..

So when you see him..8 holes...apologise on my behalf..(Herman Charles Bosman)

jokes aside..
people only get depressed when they have not mastered the art of facing the reality line..

I asked the math question for a reason..

One has to understand the question..the reality..face the 0 line..
then decide which of the 5 ways will be used to resolve the question...

most sums/answers turn out wrong..simply because the wrong method was used..
not all can be resolved by FACTORISING...

Reality is...
Racing INDUSTRY have not felt the pinch..because SARS has not "RING FENCED" the industry YET...will soon...once the CHARTER is out..the 300 bookmakers licenses....

The rest of the country...+840 JSE companies..banckrupt....general index was at 35,000 october 2008..now..some days at 25,000...

turnaround in economy...2015/2016..

ps..keep your money in euros..

chicken n chips:
Honest, yep, like so many others in this country.

But then, to lie through your teeth for personal interests, and subject all those who see thru this to embarassment, kills credibility when we attempt to see oursleves as S Africans.

He has (deny it or not) driven a wedge between black/white relationships.

With such an honest job, will he flip the RIGHT burgers...rather, will he flip them or pass them by?

Yes, crime, reverse racism, EE victimisation, etc exist; not only here, even in 1st world countries (England, France, Germany, Spain...).

But not at the scale as portrayed by Huntley. This means every victim of crime (just like backing 7 losers in a row and my claiming that this proves that horseracing is very crooked & I must get all my losings back!), is the target of racsim?

Cnc Our local papers had a pic of him on the front page. It looks as if he's sucking on a joint. At 31 and not making a career for himself at home or abroad is no ones fault but his own. One cannot blame policy for ones own failures.

I for one should have been a burger flipping candidate.

1. Born with a club foot - played sport and continue to do so. Heard the whispers.
2. Born into a poor family. father died a hobo
3. Parents alcholics.
4. High school drop out
5. Tech drop out
6. Completed national service - Denied rank due to my "diability"
7. Worked construction sites
8. Worked as a truck driver
9. Worked as a waiter
10 Worked as a barman in a night club.
11. Managed same night club.
12. Got matric at 29 years old
13. Got into insurance.
14. Started a BCOM
15. Managing a brokerage

Huntley is a wanker and the master of his own destiny. I'm tired of listening to excuses of those who expect it to be handed to them on a platter as if if it is their God given right. Its 2009 you want to succeed you must be prepared to compete with far more players now than there were in 1984.

alcaponee:

Your hurdles and mine, stragnely similar (if not familiar)!

Onyl differences-

1. Father was a womaniser and left mom and us kids to ourselves; (rental of 3Pounds in arrears for a year), no electricity, house like a shack, stable windows (no glass- cardboard as pane), rickety pine door, paraffin lamps (using glass bottles with a cloth as wick), communal toilet 100m away, worn shoes tuffed with cardboard,... been there also!

2. Got BA degree at 36, studying part-time (UNISA), within 3 yrs whilst running a security company and video/music shop (24 hr shift!)

3. Kids & siblings motivated by me; all hold qualifications and are in snr positions.

You right, to succeed, no substitution for tardiness; put your shoulder to the wheel!
