Not sure why the horse is regarded as small? Its still on the farm and will be with John Vos in a couple of months and I am sure the RA will arrange for the syndicate to go and visit?

It's 7am...
Van get on the bus..
braamfontein..at the gasworks...
got his suit on...
smells of booze..
tie hanging loose..
hair standing in all directions..
lipstick on the side of his face..
newspaper in the hand..
on the way home..to go and sleep..

spots a seat next to a priest..
black outfit.
white collar..

dumps himself down next to the priest..
opens the newspaper..
elbows the priest every time he changes the page..

Priest is all worked up..
How is this possible..
the symbol of imorality..sitting next to the symbol of morality..

next moment..
Van turns to the priest..
excuse me..are you a priest..??
Yes..
Roman catholic..??
Yes..
well can you tell me from what does a man get arthritis...??

the priest see the gap...
from drinking and sleeping around...

Oh..replied Van..
and carried on reading the newspaper..

after a while the priest gets an attack of honesty..
sorry sir..you asked me a question earlier...why did you ask..??

Van...
Oh..I read your Pope got arthritis...

AB...... of course I meet the criteria....... you dont even know me!!!

And no I didnt..... to be prefectly honest the ppl were not really interested in much besides having FUN.... something MOST racing ppl have forgotten how to do... they were running around between looking at horses, collaborating info from anyone that would give them advice and placing bets.... dancing, drinking, eating, laughing....

I thought that was the idea of the day to introduce new ppl into the EXCITEMENT of horse racing...... to ignite their passion for the SPORT!!!

to much information all at the same time too much to take in especially if you want a few pints etc. Not everybody has the mental capacity as yourself to grasp everything at once.

whatever Ab - maybe you should take over then mate!!!!!!

the fact that i am out having lunch with a HOTTIE and I get smses about your reply to my post is a joke!!!!

I dont know about issues between ppl - not my business -

They ppl could not focus on the betting suggestions and the PA and whatever else was getting thrown at them.....

If 1% of the ppl come back to races its a plus.... then they will have their questions and want to know more.... you cant overload ppl with information!!

"I dont know about issues between ppl - not my business - " -POSSUM
NOR ANYONE ELSE for that matter!!(Why certain people think it is their right to spread rumours -true or false - on any topic from the wellbeing of horses that they have no financial intrest in to private matters between indiviuals is beyond me and shows that their main aim is to cause mischief. These very same people are the first to bemoan the state of the industry but should look to themseleves to answer what they have actually done to promote/damage the game-)

AB I have spent many many hours at our two race tracks over the past five years - prior to that I had mainly been an off course punter as I had no horses in training since early 2000 - A very good friend of mine asked me to become involved in a horse a few years ago and I took out my colors again- THIS ACTION WAS POSITIVE ON HIS PART and is something you should be concentrating on.In all the time that i have been racing I have never seen or met you - perhaps the next time you attend a racemeeting you could introduce yourself to me as I would love to put a face to the poster that knows so much about me and about whom I know so little.

I think this would be a great idea - perhaps you could line up a sponsor for the lunch as there are many people that would love to meet you in person and would surely buy a ticket for this honour
