VAAL 24

A good card with many exposed sand runners. Money to be made in most races and swinger/exacta bets could be the business. If the course is running the way it has been for the last few weeks then fit horses that are well placed early on (good draws over shorter trips) should contest the finish. Here are a few that I fancy :
R1 - pecan whistle, focus on fashion(first run sand but is sired by Announce so should run well) Divine Secret (support last but bad draw) MUHTARAM (al mufti filly that could win on debut in weak field) - Xereta Menina (Webber yard no fools so could be anything)
R2 Rosalind, Fernanda, Effervescent Lady
R3 De La Patrie (Blinkers today- value at 12-1 especially for the place), Manyano, Eternal Glory
R4 Sherwani, Baklava, Crispian's Day(best run on sand)
R5 Empowerment, Good Karma, Zelwin/Dependent Hero/Juno Beach/Opus Dei
R6 WAR OF ATTRITION (not a bad first run on sand and has a draw today), Speed Keeper, Louis Fourteenth
R7 On point, Supa Status(had it all to do from wicked draw last time and is a better horse over this trip) Soul Patrol
R8 MASTER BLASTER- (Draw, Jockey and tons of pace in last 1450m - win or lose my PA banker) Gangsta Fury, August Eight, JET JUNGLE could run into the quartets
R9 Flintlock, Hurricane Force, Narc
R10 Evil end to the day Niyana Express, Kofi, Little Tich(expect Mansour to make some improvement)- be wary of any scratchings as King Kiwi would have a shout if he gets in) I'll see how much I've got left in the bank and rove two runners with the field in the Quartet as this field could produce a huge payout
Happy punting -

Hi Dave hope the track runs fair though - perhaps Master Blaster is one for you today - was a winner at the 1200m mark last time and meets similar class so a small dip at 8-10 for you?

Nice analysis Mr H.
I agree with the Webber first timer, one to watch.
My bet for the day is in race 5, eachway bet on Opus Dei and swinger with Dependent Hero.

Not at all Oscar, with 2 tracks at the Big T, they should have a three day Summer Festival leading up to the big race.

Heehee Greg I was thinking they could even add another "inside" inside track on the training sand track at Turfs and then maybe an "outside" outside track on the tar around the block of the Turf racecourse..that one obviously for stayers.

Oscar tracks have been so hard, that tar may be a better option.

Race 1...woody..maybe..
Race 4...the field or at least 1,2,3,4,5,6
Race 5...azzie..no..
Race 6...marcus..no..
race 8...marcus..maybe...
thats what I know..
the sand is heavy...ripped...and thick...
more difficult to run...so expect results..not the normal sand track..
