Some top class racing from Ascot over the next couple of days.

Look forward to watching Tryst in the opener with Ryan Moore on board, plus Shamandar, they say "the bigger the field the bigger the cert"?

Remember Rip Van Winkle vs Delegator on Sat.

good punting!

MASTERCRAFTSMAN will run in the Sony-sponsored Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Saturday only if stablemate Rip Van Winkle misses the Group 1 event, trainer Aidan O'Brien said on Thursday.

A total of five runners were declared for the mile feature with O'Brien reducing his hand to justtwo entries, leaving it increasingly likely that Rip Van Winkle will attempt to make all in the absence of any pacemaker.

O'Brien said on Thursday: "Mastercraftsman is in the race in case, for any reason, Rip Van Winkle does not run.
