Breeding terminology question

Hi guys,
Just wanting to know what "no return" means? I understand barren is if the mare does not take, but what is "no return"?
Thanks for your assistance

we are however under the impression that the mare is in foal and was apparently tested in foal in December. The information of "no return" is displayed on the NHRA website

Barren - was not covered by a stallion that year, stood without foal for the year. Stated plainly: was not covered and was not "pregnant".
No return - mare was covered but no foal was born to her that year.

element - are you sure?
when looking up stallion statistics on nhra, they list Barren and No Return as 2 status'.
If the mare was never covered by a stallion e.g. Jet Master, his stastic would not read "No Return"

100% If a mare was covered by a stallion and no foal is born, then it gets stated as, no return. That is COVERED, or serviced, call it as you like.
a Mare that was not covered = BARREN.
a Mare that was not covered = BARREN.

sorry - what I meant to say, under Jeet Master's statistics it lists how many mares were barren to HIM.
