Don't normally play on the Island, but Optimum Josh in the first good value at 11-1, eachway bet and double with Cape Gold.

Xtra Cash how well do the exotics pay there?

Greg - Pick 6 is often a carry over at that venue. The spooks arive often and I have witnessed some really shady rides. Actually have rewound the PVR and shaken my head in disbelief. Fortunately, the ones that I have picked up have been horses that have finished behind the one my cash is on.

The biggest gamble on this meeting is whether Shan Ip can call the correct horses home. He generally calls the horse that finishes 4th the winner at the top of the turn. Quite entertaining if you enjoy shouting at the TV

The only way to pick up that pick 6 is to go Andrewest on it.

Greg - I have picked up though; if Hotline posts comments about horses in Mauritius they generally arive. A lot of ex Cape horses over there and quite a bit of SA influence.

Just one for the note book

Greg - can you believe Pick6 and Gallant Gagnant have ended up here. In my mind I cant see Pick 6 ever winning here due ton his style of running. He did well galloping courses in SA. You will note that all his performances on the Greyville track were poor www.formgrids.co.za/subscriber/fgHorseHi...b=y&hs=PICK%20SIX,ZA - not to say that he wont spook it today though because he is /was quite a classy horse.

Galant Gagnant on the other hand has already found form in Mauritius and did also run well on the tight greyville track www.formgrids.co.za/subscriber/fgHorseHi...=GALANT%20GAGNANT,ZA

Greg did you catch MAU race 6. One lap to go he says they've got 15 meters to go. Got to love him.

Pick Six is so badly not suited to this course - battles to take these tight turns.-What a pity.

Watched Anton Marcus interacting with this horse after the July Gallops 2008 - Just watched the way he interacted with the horse in the cooling down area totally ignored Hunting Tower - the horse he won on the year before. I could see that he had a love for or connection with this horse.
