There was a 500 mt race a few year's back if I am not mistaken. I recall National Flame winning that race. Races between 500 and 800 mt would be very interesting as it would introduce a different dynamic into the game, with pure speed horses.

and introduce a complete different breed - quarter horses into racing saf's equation? they can't even manage time trials for current runners, let alone make space for more races of a different kind on the existing tracks...
