Last night I see that we will be getting racing that looks like a playstation game? I like the idea and think it will do very good here. Think no more jockey and trainer moves! I cant wait!

Only for the compulsive gambler. Its laughable to see blokes betting on horses names. The big joke is that they have named jockeys running them as well and racetracks such as Sprint Valley, Portman Park, Steppledowns and not forgetting the virtual dog tracks like Millers Park and Brushwood. Dont get involved its a bad move for the punters.

The sad thing is,we take more bets on virtual racing than we do on South African racing..

I can imagine because the only coverage of SA racing is on in the betting shops and the guys on radio in the betting shops dont know a thing about the SA stuff. Its not promoted well. You are obviously talking from your position in the UK, a smallish town in Scotland. In the big cities of the UK, SA racing is popular with the oldies in the morning as well as the Chinese punters.

Edinburgh? Small? a punters a punter and ps we have Chinese and old codgers in Edinburgh aswell, and they are the most likely punters of the virtual racing as they prefer numbers to form..

Virtual racing is another nail in the coffin and shoulf be hit on the head, six meetings on a saturday and the first 2 minute break in the schedule there is a cartoon race.. disgusting stuff!!

Oh and the the adicted gamblers will spend all day punting any old shit, when the local racing is finished or before it has started, spending their stash on cartoons instead of into the stakes pool..

Oh sorry I thought that you were in some obscure place in Scotland. Edinburgh is great just a pity about all the road works going on in the centre of town all the time.

Hi, I posted a question as to whether there were or will be virtual dogs, saw it on the site and whoops it was suddenly gone, no sweat, One of those things i suppose, like virtual racing in a world full of expensive thoroughbreds needing to race to justify their being (or else off to where??)

Possibly, but as I mentioned, no sweat, just a bit concerned about the fate of all the "superfluous" horses being bred year after year, as well as greyhounds, if there is little future for them once virtual racing becomes the norm and track racing becomes obsolete...
