Don't mess with Barney!

That was brilliant, I would love someone to give a few carrots to Tellytrack 1 day live on air!

I think as visually repulsive Maccririck he's great for racing. Pity there are so few colourful characters on Tellytrack.

As for Matt "and on that bombshell" Chapman well I think he couldn't tip a wheelbarrow if he tried, that guy really has no clue when it comes to punting...

I would love to see one of our trainers here take it to Julie or Neill in a BIG way.....I would just like to see their faces when they get given some stick.

Very funny Hibs, thanks

Quote of the millenium -

"you couldnt have 2 bannanas to a babanna with the bookmakers"

I have to give it to the poms they are brave, this type of thing would never appear on SA TV no matter what it was about racing or other.

Thanks Hibs great way to start the day.

I am sure he is refering to big John falling in with the bookies and being warned off for non payment, but a great chirp.

"Give me 50 bananas on the first fav"

Just watched it again and have one last comment. In SA this type of thing would have turned into heads been knocked off. At least the interviewers walked away witha smile on their faces.

Scotia I think that you are right on the banana issue - did you notice the edit?

John McCririck (born 17 April 1940) is an English television horse racing pundit. He is notable not only for his racing opinions, but his old-fashioned style of dress and mannerisms. With his trademark deerstalker hat, tweed jacket and large sideburns, which he calls his wackers, he looks the part of either Sherlock Holmes or a well-dressed gamekeeper, and he happily acts the role of a country gentleman. He also uses the traditional tic-tac signals when commenting on odds before a horse race. His public comments have often been surrounded in controversy, and have occasionally been interpreted to be derogatory and offensive, particularly towards women. He also claims to be the inventor of thrush, a general irritation which he claims to have discovered in a French brothel in 1972

Thrush = an irritating ----

Long before the internet boom my Dad used to send me to "do the bookies every saturday"

They used to "Gaurantee" the price until 10:15am ,which gave you 15 mins to get the price you fancied.So he would send me away with a couple of Hundred quid and i would come back with the tail between my legs after being Laid £25 at the price and the rest at sp.
