Good morning Batman - There was a media release in this regard not so long ago on this site, racingweb and the other racing sites not so long ago. They believe that this may help in creating megapools and challenge the lotto.

Carry over R700k, guess pool R3.5M
But remember the bigger the pool does not mean the bigger the payout
It means more winning tickets
post your selections,
good punting!

As a poor P6 player I'm mostly tempted to play by the free money implied by a carry over.
Speaking for myself, I do better trying to pick 6 winners in-a-row in my local centre than I am in other centres.
It is annoying that I don't get to chase my loses in the same place where I lost it.
One thing us punters must get to grips with: our favourite sport is controlled by people who are not big on market surveys or customer support. The sport believes (absolutely) that owners are ultimately the real customer, and punters are a neccessary evil.
Just accept that we are like drug addicts, our behaviour fits and subsequently so we get treated.

A carryover should not leave the center it took place at. Lets see where the Greyville C/O goes, any bets it'll find its way to Joburg?

Totally agree Sasky & Last Watch.
A hell of a lot of punters only bet on their local race meetings because they are familiar with the horses, trainers, courses and jockeys. Under the new carryover rules thay are basically being denied an equitable right to try and regain some of their losses on a local carryover if it goes to a race meeting in another Province with which they are not familiar. This is not fair or just for the local punters.

See Grant Knowels commented on this - I do understand what they are trying to do but an alternate bet similar to the scoop 6 would probably have been a better option than this.

I like P6 carry overs make more people play more. MR system designed to allow KAK horsies to win.
So well done to P good stategy.
