David Greet passes away

Hollywood's David Greet passed away in Durban this afternoon. He had been critically ill for several weeks. He shall be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear that news. I will always remember David for his enthusiastic appearances on my radio show where he would always end by tipping us his sure thing for the week, usually in one of the more obscure european leagues. It was normally no bigger than 3/10 and on occassions it only scraped through thanks to an injury time penalty but no matter how it got up he couldn't wait to tell us the next week.

Rest in Peace David, you will be missed and my thoughts are with your family and friends at this time.

Very sad news

Thanks Oscar. We also shared plenty of war stories from the 80s and 70s. A great bloke, we will sorely miss him.

terrible news, David was with us last year same time for the Summer Cup and we had a great time and that is how I remember David
