Genetics in Race Horse Breeding
New Trends in Breeding Horse Racing Champions
Breeding improved animals has always fascinated horse racing lovers. It has become a time honored tradition to extend the life of male horses particularly as studs, long after they are too old to race, or even slightly injured. Many wagers are placed on the basis of ancestry, rather than evidence of current performance.
Breeding thoroughbreds is both expensive and risky. The best breeders manage no more than two brood mares a year. It takes perseverance and contacts in the horse racing industry to locate the best partner for one’s horse. In-vitro fertilization has not yet been introduced to horse racing, so there is no convention of storing eggs from brood mares, though transport of frozen semen does take place. Transport of animals over long distances for planned mating is also common practice.
Breeding race horses has become the preserve of the wealthy, and rulers and religious leaders of the Muslim world are amongst the top breeders in the world. Horse farms still exist in private hands, but they focus more on preserving specific breeds, and cater to common horses kept as companions. The Emir of Dubai has made significant investments in the recent past to acquire top breeding farms in and around London.
Genetics has made rapid strides which are yet to touch horse racing. It may be because of all the tradition which surrounds this sport that new technology has been slow to take off. There are also ethical considerations involved in creating ‘designer animals’. It remains to be said that a world which can now clone sheep in routine manner, can do the same with equine species as well! Mules have been cloned and raced, but the concept has not caught on in the mainstream of horse racing. Some would welcome this adherence to nature, but modern biotechnology offers so many benefits, that horse racing cannot stay away from the science forever. Genetic screening of blastocysts has some ethical advantages, so not all genetic technology need aim at producing ‘super animals’ or exact copies.
Training and care have their own roles in horse racing performance, so animals with the same genes need not perform on an equal footing. The world of breeding in horse racing does make selections from a relatively limited pool, and the sport would benefit by introduction of more bloodlines. It does appear that traditional breeders of race horses need more exposure to scientific developments in the modern world, and there is scope for veterinarians to hone their skills in genetic breeding as well

Kobus..lets rather back a winner...
herewith some detail..won't give us a winner..but scares the s.h.i.t. into even a taxi driver...
There are also ethical considerations involved in creating ‘designer animals’
this implies the use of biochemistry and nanotechnology.
Combining biochemistry and nanotechnology, the drinking water for horses that LAFF and JAMES had on their program is created.
Combining biochemistry and nanotechnology, we can alter your oxygen levels in your blood (15 min process) that will allow you to stay 30 min under water.
In the past, I would have fed you EPO, which would have doubled your red bloodcells, allowing more oxygen due to the doubled red bloodcells, to keep you under water for 6 or 7 min.
We know that on November 8th a South African site (fto.co.za) carried the following:
"Suspicious aircraft were forced to land. A US operated (Russian-made long-range heavy transport) AN-124 changed its call sign from civilian to military which then triggered a response from the IAF (Indian Air Force) upon entering Pakistani air space (forcing) the plane to land in Mumbai while (a) second one was forced down by Nigerian fighter jets that also arrested the crew."
"According to reports, China's People's Liberation Army Air Force contacted the Indian and Nigerian intelligence officials about the presence of these US operated Ukrainian aircraft amidst growing concern that the United States was spreading 'biological agents' in the Earth's atmosphere, which some Chinese officials believed to be an attempt to (commit) mass genocide via the spread of H1N1 swine flu."
These aircraft "were carrying 'waste disposal' systems that could spray up to 45,000kg (nearly 100,000 pounds) of aerial type mist from sophisticated....nano pipes" in the planes' wings - called chemtrails.
Nanotechnology, shortened to "nanotech", is the study of the controlling of matter on an atomic and molecular scale.
Generally nanotechnology deals with structures of the size 100 nanometers or smaller in at least one dimension, and involves developing materials or devices within that size.
One nanometer (nm) is one billionth, or 10−9, of a meter.
By comparison, typical carbon-carbon bond lengths, or the spacing between these atoms in a molecule, are in the range 0.12–0.15 nm, and a DNA double-helix has a diameter around 2 nm. On the other hand, the smallest cellular life-forms, the bacteria of the genus Mycoplasma, are around 200 nm in length.
To put that scale in another context, the comparative size of a nanometer to a meter is the same as that of a marble to the size of the earth.[4]
Or another way of putting it: a nanometer is the amount a man's beard grows in the time it takes him to raise the razor to his face.

But dont fret..I found us another planet to race on...will use the ET's as jockeys...
copied from www.spacestart.eu
Its sun is a diminutive red dwarf, meaning that days on Gliese won't be nearly as bright as they are on our fair planet.
It sure is a lot farther away -- at least 20.5 light-years outside of our solar system. According to scientists, however, it could support liquid water -- and life.
Astronomers aren't able to look yet for signs of life, but all the elements -- temperature (between 32 and 104 degrees) and distance from its star (its orbit places it within what scientists call the "habitable zone") -- are there. Computer models predict either a rocky planet, like Earth, or a water world covered with liquid oceans.
Either scenario holds the possibility for extraterrestrial life.
Best -- or worst? -- of all, Gliese 581 C is close enough for scientists to imagine future space missions of exploration and discovery.
Scary? For sure. Exhilarating? Definitely.
For the first time, the thought of an entirely different life form appears to be within reach.
But what kind of life form would exist on a planet 50 percent larger than Earth and five times more massive; a planet where one year lasts 13 Earth days?
Ladies and gentlemen, we will find out far sooner than we ever imagined.
Hold on tight.

I want to build a billion tiny factories, models of each other, which are manufacturing simultaneously. . . The principles of physics, as far as I can see, do not speak against the possibility of maneuvering things atom by atom. It is not an attempt to violate any laws; it is something, in principle, that can be done; but in practice, it has not been done because we are too big.

Andre here's one for you - get a top bio scientist to combine something like the cocao bush(I think that's the name of the plant that produces cocaine) with a potato or tomato. Take the seeds all around the world and the cocaine industry comes to a grinding halt - Will be nice to see a bunch of druggies all planting tomatoes in the garden and the Nigerians out of business. OT in rehab will never be the same with all the inmates wanting to be in the gardening group! If you do come right please remember me and give me my chop!!

The garden solar lights that we buy from the nursery is the start of NANOTECHNOLOGY.
Eskom - Wendy Poulton wants to spend R120, 000,000,000...R120billion on a powerstation..to build it...not to maintain it..
will 10-20 years to build..if they dont steal it during the building process..
the R120B will times by 5....like all other projects...
however
a garden solar light cost about R50.
burns maybe like a 40watt globe..about 4 hours..
for R120 billion / R50, we can have 2,400,000,000 solar garden lights
we have 60,000,000 people in South africa..
each of the 60 million people can get 40 garden solar lights for the R120bn
assume that an average house hold in South Africa consists of 5 people..
each house will have 200 x 40 watt lights buring every night...
we can light up the country...no place for the thieves to hide..
and no one will steal any garden light..we will have an over supply..

Now that they have discovered water on the moon, Donald Trump will be opening a major hotel chain, Trumps Moon Water Resort up there with 24 hour a day lighting so that we on Earth can see him having a good time (using a telescope of course). We won't need lighting on earth as his proposed, Vegas on the Moon Casino Stripe situated in Moon Water Bay will have so much neon that all of space will be lite up.

Hi Andre,
I really enjoy reading your posts, very enlightening and informative. Heres one for you that really caught my attention and which I beleive is one of the biggest conspiracy's around today: GLOBAL WARMING.
I like most of you was led into believing that due to carbon emmisions ( power plants, cars, airplanes, buildings and so on) as well as deforestation, and a increase in methane and the list goes on, that this was the contributing factor to G.W.
I was informed by a reliable source, wont mention any names, but well connected to the energy cartel (oil rigs) that this whole charade that Al Gore is trying to pull off is a whole lot of sh1t, there is some truth to this theory but the actuall truth is that he is working very closely and funded by all these energy cartels to divert our thinking into believing that these emmisions are the actual cause to G.W.
The actuall truth and one which makes perfect sense is that these bastards are raping our planet of one of its most vital natural resources and that is fossil fuel or commenly known as crude oil. This planet has been around for billions of years and during this time this planet has generated naturally all the various resources ie, gases, minerals, water and chemicals that it requires to sustain itself in perfect harmony and we the greedy and selfish species that we are comes along in less than 100 years and rapes it of its most important natural resources.
Our planet like a motor engine requires that certain surfaces be lubricated as well as cooling or in the purpose of fossil fuel to insulate the surface of the earth from the harsh temperatures from within and to the core. We are all well aware that oil is diminishing at a rapid rate, just take a look at the cost of fuel these days. A lot say it all has to do with supply and demand but the reality is that the planets reserves are running dry.
They have just recently found a rich bed lying under the North Pole. There are two problems right now facing the drilling of this bed and that is:
1. How dow they drill this area.
2. Who lays claim to this this bed, Alaska or Russia?
Now could you imangine if they finally get thier way, the North Pole will melt in months, in comparison it will be like taking an ice block and droping it into a cup of tea.
Due to all this oil being raped there is no longer any natural insulater and thus the earth's surface temperature is heating at a rapid rate. Secondly all these areas were this oil was being reserved from within are now starting to collapse and hence the significant increase in earth quakes on land and increasingly within the ocean. I dont have to mention the increase in tsunamis, just take a look yourself.
So I ask you the question: Is this the point of no return? I personally would imagine so, how many more billions of years are needed for this beautiful planet to alow itself to replenish its most important natural resource OIL.
I believe that our next generations existence looks very bleak. Wars will not be fought over politics, religion, land, but will be fought over water......
