Weather again hits racing, global warming!

good punting!
Waterlogged Plumpton forced to abandon card
WEDNESDAY'S meeting at Plumpton has been abandoned after the course was found to be waterlogged during an early morning inspection.
The course, which was described as heavy on Tuesday, was hit with 10mm of overnight rain, more than was expected, and there are further showers forecast to hit the track.
Clerk of the course Mark Cornford said: "If we could have guaranteed today would have stayed dry we might have been able to keep racing on but it's raining.
"It was raining when I got here at half five, stopped just after six and I met the steward at seven to walk the course and it was raining again.
"It's very overcast and, although it's raining now, it looks like it could get heavier, so with the forecast and the waterlogged places we had to call it off."
He added: "We tried so hard to keep iton. We were out looking at the top bend to see if we could move rails but it keeps raining."
