The Vaal

As a regular racegoer for the last 50 years I am disgusted wuth the treatment of punters at the Vaal.
The tracks are now fine but that is all thet has been done.
The old Tote board has long gone and you have to rely on the TV for betting information which is pushed in amongst other betting all over the world. What happened to the old Tote boards at the Vaal, Newmarket and Germiston???
On top of it if you want to see horses going down they now for some races, do not even go down in front of the Grandstand and the camera operators have'nt a clue as to what to show on the TV. They often miss a horse or take a 1 sec shot of the back of the horse. This upsets me as an owner.
A Tote board, intelligent camera operators and maybe a channel dedicated to local racing should not be a pipe dream. Loacl punters, race goers and owners deserve better.

Everything about the Vaal is depressing and the FLIES are even more depressing i feel so sorry for my horses.
Why are both Turfontein and the Vaal situated in such polluted areas?
Why is Randjiesfontein so clean and well kept and it seems they have much better fly control.
Just wondering........

You have to hand it to them. They managed to keep the province's two cr@ppiest courses. Perhaps because no-one wanted them?

AT the vaal we have flies because we leave the food out in the open.
the deep freezes are used as banks.
once or twice a year we back a few winners.
wrap the tom in checkers plastic bags and store it in the chest deep freezer.
made so much with Roux runners, we now have to use the fridge too.
