I have flown out of that airport and I have stood on that beach....MOTHERLESS drunk!!!

Scariest I have been was landing at the old airport in Hong Kong. Could see people sitting having their diner in their apartments. Osaka in Japan also weird as airport is man made in the middle of the bay. I am glad that I landed and took off at night.

Zurich is pretty scary because of the mountains surrounding the area......You have to almost take off vertically to get the H outa there!

Zurich has all those trees around it as well. Nice thing about Switzerland is that you dont have to hassle about passports. One oak sitting in the middle of the passage just looking at you and smiling.

That old airport in Hong Kong brings back memories. I remember the one time when we landed that there was obviously an incident where an Chinese Airlines plane had skidded off the runway and plunged into the water at the end of the runway. No major damage was seen as the water is shallow at that point.

Very scary stuff but then when they built these airports the governments used their heads by having the Airports close to the sea just in case somethings goes wrong on landing and take off. When airports such as Heathrow and LAX were built they were well out of the city and in a vast space of open ground..now look at them.

Agree about Zurich, crapped myself 1st time landing there.

Scariest thing at airports is none-SA passport queue at OR Tambo International arrivals...

St. Barths and Catalina Island off coast of So California.

Watching planes land at St. Barths is popular, because of the excellent chances to witness a crash.

Fun stuff in a town where most of the entertainment is done in private.
