I would say so but I never saw the race as my signal was lost. It came back on in time to see the winner trotting back afterwards. Grrrrr!

I still think Cormack was way too gentle on him....giving him a BIG easy. But take nothing away from Havasha. He beat him fair and square.
It just seems to me that if you have a horse good enough to remain unbeaten then you should throw everything at him or place him correctly, to stay that way right?
I think he is one of the better 3 year olds in the country, have thought so from the beginning but would love to have seen him remain unbeaten for as long as possible.
my opinion only

Oscar,it was because he gave your boyo a bit weight that i thought it was a "cracking run" i for one made your boy favourite over Pierre and about choked on my cupasoup when i seen the price..
Both Havasha and Jourdan looked like they had a job on their hands with 300 to go but managed to dragg each other to the line a couple of lengths clear of the field, can`t wait until they go 1600+

I've seen this before from that stable - not the type to call ducks "swans" - best you start to get the hang of wearing a jacket and tie - you might just need it soon!!!

Havasha gives Pierre Jourdan a taste of his own medicine
NICCI GARNER RXP - Hot favourite Pierre Jourdan tasted defeat for the first time in his short career when beaten a whisker by Havasha in Race 4 at Turffontein on Saturday, an Allowance Plate over 1450m.
Both horses looked a picture in the parade but Pierre Jourdan had beaten Havasha in the Emperors Palace Ready To Run Cup over 1400m on the standside track early in November and, having won twice over the course and distance before that, was fancied to confirm the form. He went through the stalls at 15-10.
Havasha had not raised a gallop in the Dingaans in his next start, but that run was obviously not a true reflection of his ability. Plus, he was a little better drawn than in the Ready To Run Cup and was meeting Pierre Jourdan on 2.5kg better terms. So the lengthening 9-2 was, in hindsight, a generous starting price for this son of Kahal.
Flybyme (9-2) and Echohawk were the other runners punters expected to run well.
``Bionic Man’’ Donovan Habib bounced Echohawk to an immediate lead from Flybyme, who Piere Strydom battled to restrain in the early stages. Danse To Destiny and Pierre Jourdan disputed third place with Havasha making up ground, racing three wide before being edged in front of the market leader. Another Storm and Powerful Gift raced ahead of Forestation and Calpurnius.
Echohawk, who pulled a good couple of lengths clear of Flybyme as the runners cornered, was still in full cry halfway down the straight where Havasha had started making up ground and Piere Jourdan was still not in full cry.
The race was wide open 250m from the line with Echohawk still holding a narrow advantage over Havasha and Pierre Jourdan pulling alongside them. Soon after that, though, the pacemaker tired under pressure and veered away from Havasha, hampering Powerful Gift on the rail.
A hundred metres later, Havasha and Piere Jourdan had started to draw clear and they fought out an exciting finish with Havasha reaching the post a short head in front of the favourite. Another Storm finished powerfully for third, 2.20 lengths further back, as Flybyme and Echohawk ran out of steam close home.
Delpech said afterwards: ``I don’t know what went wrong last time (in the Dingaans). He’s always been one of our better three-year-old colts - I always rated him highly. I was a bit concerned about the (No 9) draw because he can travel a bit keenly. But even without cover, he relaxed nicely. And he ran a very good race.
``I think both he and the second horse needed the run a little bit. It’ll be a nice race when they meet again.’’
Havasha’s merit rating has been raised to 98 from 94. He is likely to bump Piere Jourdan in next months’ Gauteng Guineas, the first leg of the Triple Crown. They could clash with such good horses as the country’s top-rated three-year-old Curved Ball, who won the 1600m Dingaans and followed up over 1800m next time, and his stable companion Galileo’s Galaxy.
There was a huge upset in the day’s topliner, a MR 104 Handicap over 1600m, when 25-1 long-shot Dinner For One found more in the closing stages to beat second favourite Imperial Gesture with favourite Eddington downfield.
Only a portion of the Pick 6 pool was won, with 66-1 chance Modern Drive (Race 6) and 50-1 outsider Beyond The Sunset (Race 9) contributing to the R746,798 carryover to this weekend.

I'm with you Ruby,
I think he is a top class animal and am waiting with bated breath for the Guateng Guineas. (If all the BIG boys run there)
Its time we find out who the top dog is from our illustrious 3-year olds
