Hi mate - help me out with the place rules - I'm a little unsure of when you have 4 places and how and when an odds on affects the price - also do you have a rule of thumb for working out fixed places? (eg divide win odds by five etc) Thanks in advance(looked on-line but could not find all the answers)

Sorry Mr H,

Just logged on now- HW pays 4 places based on 14 carded runners and more.

If there are scratchings, so be it, but 4 places are paid.

Jason I wanted to back Big light in the last (2-16) a place(something in that order ) Would that be the dividend I got or would it have been adjusted with the two scratchings?

Hey Mr H

I stand to be corrected- but if it said 2.17 and the scratchings had been made before you took the bet, then that would have been the dividend. If the scratchings occurred after your bet- then deduction rules would apply.

As I say Mr H, this is how i interpretted your question.

Thanks jason it was this morning and I just did not have the time to go to hollywood and take the bet but now I know the price you see is the price you get unless scratchings occur after you strike.
