Once again just goes to prove how effective "seasonal racing" would be in SA. The major centres should divide up their racing calendar.
It would take care of all these cancelled meetings for sure!

I'm the eternal optimist and due to the amounts of rain that Durban has had I'm going to pick one horse out of every race and post here.....Most of them are LUNATICS, but hey thats what you need to find to make money right!?!?!?!?!
Race 1: Win at Will
Race 2: Mythic Woods
Race 3: National Nite Mare
Race 4: Jet to Paradise
Race 5: Violet
Race 6: Alaskan Isles
Race 7: Ilsanpietro
Race 8: Maritime Mist
Race 9: Secret Symbol
I'm big on Craig Eudy yard today!!!
Happy punting!

JACK MILNER RXP
THE course and distance of Race 6 at Greyville this afternoon, a MR 89 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1400m, augurs well for Silent Mist.
Glen Kotzen’s charge has raced three times over this track and trip for two wins and a second and that was at the end of December when she finished a 1.25-length second to Bet On Blue. The five-year-old mare, who was coming back from a three-month break, led as they turned for home but was run out of it late.
Raymond Danielson rode the winner on that occasion but this time will be on Silent Mist. They are reasonably well drawn at No 8.
Third in that race was Mark Dixon’s Prize Flower, who is at her best at Greyville. She was beaten 0.75 lengths by Silent Mist in that race and had an excuse as she was squeezed out at the start and lost some ground.
Brandon Lerena rides the five-year-old daughter of Muhtafal, who is 0.5kg better off with Silent Mist, and the pair should finish a little closer this time. Danielson will have a chance to keep an eye on his chief rival as she is drawn alongside at No 9.
Smangaliso looked to have a bright future when winning the Ready To Run Cup at Turffontein in 2008 but has done little since. She did well to finish a 5.25-length third behind Captain’s Girl in the Flamboyant Stakes over 1600m at this course and may be regaining her form.
The only concern is that the going was extremely heavy that evening and a number of runners failed to act. As a result, that form-line may look better than it actually is.

This is becoming more and more a joke...
So they postpone race meetings from one day to the other, change the times of races and also distances!??!? Are they expecting a lot of runners in the marathon race now?

can't race 3000m at night, lights don't go all way round track, 2000m is max for night meetings. Excpect a shedload of scratchings to come. Frustrating this rain.
