A look at the the SAf-related runners and their races:
Race 3
King Of Rome must have a good chance of scoring a double here, but there are a few challenges. He goes 200 metres further, which will probably suit. His rating has been bumped up 5 points so now he's running in a 5 point higher handicap and carrying top weight. He's drawn wide at 11, but that shouldn't be a problem over 2200.
The main threats should be Drunken Sailor (beat Monte Alto easily over this trip last time), Espiritu (2nd for Godolphin last time), and Dr Faustus (2kg's better off with King Of Rome for 1.75 length beating).
Since his decent Dubai debut last year, Stubbs Art has been poor. MDK is trying him over more ground now.
Race 5
Jaroslaw ran a good race behind Lizard's Desire from a wide draw last time and must be in with a chance again. Wonder Lawn finished midfield over 1400 metres on his Dubai debut and tries further. We know he's capable of good runs, but his form before leaving South Africa was moderate (the last time he finished in the first 3 was in May 2008, 13 runs back), so he's going to have to step up a gear or two.
The one to beat must be Firebet (Godolphin/Dettori). He's won 4 of his last 5 and was 2nd in a Gr3 at Goodwood. Falcativ won his last two in England but he faces a higher level handicap field here.
Race 6
With by far the highest rating and joint bottom weight (conditions race), MDK would likely be disappointed if Eagle Mountain didn't win this. His two runs this season in Hong Kong were not at the level of last seasons form, so this would be the time to show he's getting ready for the big night. He's better over further, but has won twice from five starts over 1600 before.
Consul General looks the main danger (beaten only 3.25 by Gloria De Campeao a couple of weeks ago and with 5 wins from his previous 6 starts).
Race 7
Bankable looks one of the better horses around that hasn't cracked a GR win yet. He has finished 2nd in a Gr2, 2nd in Gr3 four times, and 3rd in a Gr1. The only time he's missed a place in a Group race was when 5th in the Duty Free last year. A five month break is a question mark but he must be in with a good chance. Brown also has Bronze Cannon in the race. He's having his first run for the stable, has had nearly 5 months off and probably needs further but has a couple of Gr2 wins to his credit. He's rated 119, only a point behind Justenuffhumor.
Imbongi is likewise consistent at Gr level but has won a few (3 Gr2's in South Africa and a Gr3 in England). He ran a good race when 2nd to Barbecue Eddie two weeks ago and returns to the turf now. He's probably better over shorter but should run well as he usually does.
Godolphin's Justenuffhumor was beaten only 1.50 by Goldikova last time out in the USA and is the highest rated horse in the field. Premio Loco and Tamlin ran well enough in Dubai recently to be in with a chance.
Race 8
Art Of War hasn't shown much in his two Dubai runs this season, finishing around midfield both times. Red Rock Canyon ran a similar race on his Dudai debut but followed up with a shocker over further. Both must improve to compete.
Golden Arrow was pipped by Jet Express last time and must be in with a chance. Black Eagle wasn't beaten far by Alexandros two weeks ago in a Gr3. Don Velez has good South American and Saudi Arabian form (3 wins and a second from 4 starts). Thaky has won 4 of his lat 5 in Saudi. Kal Barg won well at Meydan last time out. Godolphin's Roman Republic won last time out but that was more than 6 months ago.
This looks wide open. Take your pick.

Thanks again Sabre for the excellent contribution and I am sure Eagle Mountain will show its true form, trying to find a price, Interbet have posted but at extremly high percentages!!!! they have the Eagle at 12/10, but I am sure around 2/1 at the off would be the right price
good punting!
