Scotia on Monday morning (now Tues) due to a technical hitch.

Good morning all and hope 2010 is treating you well, had a good feeling about this year until yesterday?
When you get an email from your host saying he is going to change servers between 9.00 and 9.45 be wary, it took 27 hrs, so I am sorry we had no ABC yesterday or much of Tuesday.
Report on the site (everything you wanted to know about changing servers, but were afraid to ask).
Getting back to my original email of yesterday, the point I was going to make about feeling good was:
It could stem from the fact that I popped in to see my mate Gary last week and as normal was treated to a few glasses of his first class selection of whisky's, he then said I would like to make a donation to the ABC box and opened a cupboard with 35 brands of whisky's and a few with the name "CLAN" so will add to the collection next to the present from Wally of the "Clan Scotia" single malt so all I can say is cheers to Gary for such a generous contribution and pop in and have a wee dram on Gunieas day compliments from Argyll Technical Services.
As far as the punting is concerned, I am sure we are enjoying Dubai, and the big question is who will rise to the top to lift the big prize on the 27th March? both the early favs Presvis and Gio Ponti have been shock losers recently and we have Barry Irwin's horse Gitano Hernando, Twice Over, Vision DEtat, Honour Devil, Eagle Mountain, Crowded House etc, Dubai World Cup Meeting 2010
Barry Irwin`s Gitano Hernando takes on the world
However Cheltenham ante post is becoming a bit clearer with only 3 weeks to go.
I am glad to say have been able to secure a couple of tickets for the Betfair marquee on Gold Cup day and at this stage only one thing missing and that is me (what happened to the bucket list) but Molly and Les should have fun.
The 16th of March has the Arkle Chase where Captain Cee Bee tops the boards at 4/1 and my early fancy Sizing Europe is still around 7/1.
The Champion Hurdle where the defeat of Zanyar at 1/14 has seen Solwit emerge as 4/1 fav with the my fancy Go Native at 9/2.
As far as the Cross Country Chase should go to Grand Champetre at around 2/1.
Dunguib is now hot fav at 9/10 after a good win and the Supreme Nov should be in the bag.
On the 17th the Champion Bumper looks a minefield and will probably be 10/1 the field, where the Champion Chase is at the mercy of Master Minded 9/10 after a good come back apart from the scare at the last. The RSA Chase has Punchestown also after a good comeback run at 3/1, with the dangers Long Run 5/1 and Diamond Harry 9/1 the dangers.
The 18th has the Ryanair Chase where Poquelin is 4/1 with my early fancy Barber Shop at 11/2.The World Hurdle has another hottie in the form of Big Bucks also looks past the post.
Last but not least is the Gold Cup on the Friday and the clash is still on the cards, but with Denmans fall Kauto is again the firm fav at 9/10 and Denman on the drift to 7/2.
So as normal its the punters vs the bookies and the atc with Dunguib, Master Minded, Big Bucks all going onto Kauto on the Cup could make it a nervous race for the Turf Accountants.Cheltenham ante-post
Dunguib Banker material
We have no betting for the Guineas day at Turffontien next Sat. but some good racing on the cards check the final fields Fields for Guineas day
As far as the football Chelsea have again gone hot favs 4/7 for the League with UTD drifting to 13/5 and Arsenal 7/1 the only other team in contention.
Starting to really enjoy the rugby and we have a super thread running in the sports section Fancy winning REALLY BIG MONEY? the Bulls are going strong, as far as the 6 Nations we don't like the French, but at this stage look hard to oppose.
As far as punting on entertainment, plenty to consider with the Oscars and American pop idols, which I must admit have a bit of an addiction to.
Ashley Rodrigues, Andrew Garcia, Crystal Bowersox and Didi Benami on the short list.
The Oscars, best movie between Avatar and The Time Locker joint favs, best actor Jeff Bridges should win and Sandra Bullock strong fav but some decent opposition, but enjoy.
We should have a few runners again soon with Clan Classique due to make her appearance in PE and Slumdog to make another Oscar performance?
Oscars are to be held March 7th
As far as the tote still on hold, not sure if the dividends have stabilised, but still no contract or commision (est R1,000) for 3 months, so would not appear to be a train smash for the punters.
You may have seen we have a link to Hony "the horse comes first" on the home page, enjoy!
We also have someone interested in selling 6 berth horse boxes, details to follow on the site.
Good punting and may your God be with you
