Tellycrap - again

:XIs it really necessary to have all that crap at the bottom of the screen while a race is coming to a conclusion? For fark's sake, wake up. I know nobody gives a toss but it really is frustrating to have this sort of dimwitted thinking stuffing up our viewing. I mean, the next Wolves race was 23 minutes away. Use some common sense PLEASE!!!

Here's the thing, Magic - I suspect the studio is often not viewing precisely the same picture that we are so, apart from not caring (which we already know), they do not always have to watch the 'finished article' that we are inflicted with.

So now they broadcast overlays which are often layered OVER overlays together with everything barring an advert for the next quartet carryover at Ngong on Sunday.

Watch their space (sic) as there is still about one third of the screen which is not yet cluttered with data.

People often say that they just watch the picture without the voice over to save themselves the pain of having to listen to the babbling illiterates working for the channel. I guess that shortly you can switch off the picture and listen to the commentary if you are wanting to track the progress of a race as it picks its way between the forests of data.

I bless the inventor of the mute button every day. 232 is unwatchable without it, but sadly often not much better with it. My love of racing fortunately overcomes this massacred coverage - just!

Dubai meeting is the only one that you will see on Sky Sports 3. Get used to ATR and if you want to part with £20 a month subscribe to Racing UK. On Saturdays you will be able to watch Channel 4 racing for about 2 hours or so and the big meetings like The Derby and Ascot will also be on the BBC. You soon will be getting bored with ATR and their silly presenters.

Barry, have you tried www.twinspires.com
You have to sign up for an account (freeof charge) and you can watch SA racing as well as UK racing in much better clarity than Youbet I might add. Only problem is that Churchill Downs (company) is buying Youbet I believe so not sure what will happen once companies merge.

For now twinspires is super!

Hope this helps
