UK racing Sat 13th March

A bit unlucky yesterday with 4 from 5 including a big 3/1 winner, just Ruby coming short in the bumper
Sandown: not every day that I fancy Mccoy on a 14/1 shot but Sonowyouno fits the good ew punt.
Lifestyle can win again and Ruby can make ammends with Techico Polos.
Chepstow: Maktu is very consistent and due for a win
good punting!

Ummm.... Dave 4 from 5 is a 80% strike rate and surely some decent profit.... put a smilie on your face:)
Now if Scotia is tipping a 14/1 shot I'm on.... (tu)
Enjoy and break a leg

Qaspal out to close in on Festival spot in Imperial
DREAMS of Cheltenham Festival glory for Qaspal hang on his performance in the Paddy Power Imperial Cup at Sandown on Saturday.
Anything less than a win and the Philip Hobbs-trained six-year-old will not have a rating high enough to run in either of his targets - the Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys' Hurdle and Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle. However, even the 5lb penalty he would receive for a triumph may not get him in.
The maximum number of runners permitted in both contests is 24, meaning that as Qaspal is 121st on the Martin Pipe list and 85th on the County card JP McManus's novice needs atleast 98 horses to defect from the former and 62 in the latter before he can line up.
Saturday's confirmation stage could reduce these numbers, but task one is winning at Sandown and Hobbs does not appear overly confident.
"Qaspal is still an unknown quantity and will be running on very different ground to what it was last time," he said, "which I don't think will be a problem. My only concern is whether two miles on this sort of ground is not enough of a test of stamina, but I suppose they will go a furious pace."
Despite his cautious words, the West Country trainer has booked peerless champion jockey Tony McCoy, who will be riding at 2lbs lower than the lightest weight he has done in over a year if successfully weighing out at Qaspal's allotted 10st 3lbs.
Pepe Simo, Treaty Flyer and Stradbrook are others holding Festival entries and all have a chance of scooping the sponsor's £75,000 bonus for any horse that can win the Imperial Cup and follow up in any race at the festival next week.
The ground was officially described as good after racing on Friday and, with little chance of rain, it is expected to remain so for the duration of Saturday's fixture.

Sandown 3.05 TOCCA FERRO
The Imperial Cup is one of two terrific handicaps on the Sandown card that would not be out of place at Cheltenham next week. In fact, I reckon it’s high time the opening EBF Novices Hurdle Final became part of the great Festival. Trainer Emma Lavelle is not enjoying the best of times at present but deserves a change of luck with this lovely-looking, highly-regarded five-year-old grey, of whom she has spoken in the same breath as stable star Crack Away Jack. The gelding blotted his copybook in a good race last time but didn’t get home over the 2m5f trip on sticky ground after pulling too hard. As a result, he gets in here on an attractive mark, which could be construed as lenient in relation to the form of his seasonal debut in a hot maiden hurdle behind Bellvano.
And another horses for todays racing...RANJOBAIE Sandown 2.00 LIFESTYLE Sandown 3.40 KING EDMUND Sandown 4.15
QUIDEO DE TOUZAINE Chepstow 2.20 FANUNALTER Wolverhampton 3.25 I'M FRANK Ayr 5.30
Good Punting!
