doesn't SHE deserve more chances in JOHANNESBURG ?

below is last week's racing schedule of Elvisjnr in Johannesburg. I have NOT included the KIMBERLEY meeting.

9 Mar Vaal Humvee 66/1 ran 8th
Mycandy girl 33 /1 ran 9th

11 Mar Vaal Winning woman 25 / 1 ran 3rd 1.0L behind Quartet pd 69,000
12 Mar Turf Indigo Violet 16 / 1 ran 3rd 2.0 L behind
13 Mar Turf El Barrio 50 / 1 ran 4th 1.0 L behind Quartet pd 181,000

when last did she ride a horse in SINGLE FIGURES in the betting in JOHANNESBURG ? I really don't know.
The question I am asking, is SHE not worthy of getting a few more rides on the Johannesburg card ? It's got to be soul destroying to drive out to the VAAL for just 1 ride. But she does it, likewise 1 ride at TURFFONTEIN NIGHT MEETING.

She's not the strongest jock around, not the most talented but SHE DOES GIVE HER ALL.

What really annoys me about Kimberley racing is that many appy jocks that DO HAVE A CLAIM are not claiming their full allowance cause they can't make the allotted weight & they ride overweight.

Nicci rides at 52 kgs after 4 Mcdonalds , 3 milk shakes and all..... she's never seen a sweat box or DIET book in her life !

Sort of tried to say the same thing on the Vaal thread the other day...

Agree Elvis hope some of the owners/trainers reading the site can give her a chance?

For some or other reason, in spite of appearances, women still battle in racing. Only the *very* tough ladies seem to make it. The rest eventually give up trying to crack the nod in this mens club... whether it's in the irons, or training. Go Gai Waterhouse!!!

She does deserve many more chances..Buddy Maroun rated her highly and told me that.

Gajima, I know she rides work at Turffontein & Vaal only........ she seems to get NIL support from Raaintjesfontein, so why bother riding the work there if they dont give you any rides

Would be good to see her sitting on some nicer horses,for a big stable.

How nice would it be for her to get a ride in the JULY - talk about POSITIVE publicity for her and the racing game. Wish, wish, wish, that someone would open their eyes up there and give passionate people the chances they deserve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep up the excellent work Elvisjnr - I am a fan of your personality, work ethic and spirit in which you ride. An asset to the game and a credit to you directly Elvis.
