Anyone know who's running this "racingclub" scam ?

Got this email and was wondering if anyone knows who's running this scam :

Hi

I have a racing certainty treble tomorrow :- 1at Fairview and 2 at Greyville Night.

It is directly from the trainers and they are going to win. If you wish to participate, I will require a payment of R1200 for the one at Fairview or R2250 for all 3 selections. The first one you will get over 2/1 and the 2 at Greyville is 3/1 combined. The treble will be 11/1 and is a certainty.

Please advise asap as I need only 5 people for this as it is sensitive info. I already paid a fortune for it. The above is my fee for the info and you will need to take your bet but no worry it is definite.

DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Clearly a con-artist, but was wondering if anyone else had received this e-mail ? Dunno how this charlie found me. If he's reading this I hope he realises people aren't that gullible and either he should get a job - or just take the 11/1 certainty himself to make a living.

Thanks Tommy - never saw that. Really annoying that people would try to prey on sick gamblers. I just wish they could be exposed so that if they ever try to open any sort of tipping line or get involved in the game everybody would know to boycott.

This is quite worrying and as Pirates said should be investigated further by the Authorities,since it is being reported on all sites.

Considering that members of the other sites have recieved the emails,who`s details are not in our files,im quite confident that our lists have not been comprimised..

Im a member of all the racing websites but have not recieved the emails,can anyone think of any other link?

If I had to guess I think it may be a bookmaker website. I remember about six months ago the world of sport list of clients was leaked accidentally when they sent an email out with all the clients names on. Another bookmaker promptly used the list. Otherwise possibly someone paid a bookmaker's clerk for the list - or this is being run by someone who works for a bookmaker.

i also received this email, in fact i received one last week as well, iam concerned about where the person got my email address from...the only two "racing" sites ive used my email address on is ABC and Hollywood...
