My advice would be to stay away and wait for the Carry over on the weekend. Go have a decent meal and a decent bottle of shampagne and safe yourself some money in the process!

Put a PA, JP and P6 together and got to an astronomical amount to cover myself so NO BET:

PA 1,8,5 x 1,5,6 x 7,1,5 x 3,1,11,13 x 1,3,12,9 x 1,2,9,6 x 4,3,9,7 for R6912.00
P6 1,5,6,13,11 x 7,1,5,3 x 3,1,11,2,9,4,5,6 x 1,3,12,9,10,16,14 x 1,2,9,6,4,13,8 x 4,3,9,7,15 for R39200.00
JP 7,1,5,3 x 3,1,11,2,9,4,5,6 x 1,3,12,9,10,16,14 x 1,2,9,6,4,13,8 for R1568.00

Like I said rest day for me!

Nothing standing out so no strong fancies. If you really have to Mo Pepper & Club Victor to place/each way.

Till tomorrow,

Loopy

I have a slightly different prospective than Loopy of the racing today - I think it is not too difficult - this is what I like:

R3: Altelekker no good thing imo - include a few in the PA
R4: Over the Anvil should improve this trip - held by Island Fragrance on their last meeting, but OTA was drawn wide there; possible P6 banker imo
R5: Really should be between Spiced Gold and Jet Trail - Quick Single could be better than rated and is the only other one to consider
R6: Danceofthespirits (who has run close up to the classy Gluwein before) and the well weighted Ashjaan for me, Miss Turbulence and Autumn Gold best of the rest
R7: Most difficult race on the card imo - I'm going wide
R8: Al Felon and Omega Warrior the obvious ones; I will include Ozzie Dude (looking for this straight imo), Jedi Joshua (nice win from a poor draw last time) and Beach Club
R9: Couplings can help us here - I will include Dee Jay West, Uyagiya, Zebulon (who could be better down this Vaal straight) and Miami Boy in the P6

Play well

zesto, the date of gelding is shown in the Computaform (between the date foaled and the breeder info), but you will have to check them individually to see if it was since their last run - usually the horse will have had a rest as well.....hopes this helps

The trainer stated that the horse was 80% fit....That means the punter, who was judging the horses chances based on a merit rating of 102,was (knowingly and deliberately),not going to get a run better than about 80(difference of 5 lengths)
Not blaming Pettigrew, just the NHA who condone the practise.
(No wonder people play poker rather than race....nobody takes a couple of aces and kings out the pack to save them for the All Africa "feature" tournament! The rules remain the same for a R1000 or a R1,000,000 tourny)
I heard the interview, which was honest and open, and adjusted accordingly, but it is not fair on the mass of punters(thousands of PA tickets went out)......yes the horse was having a prep run for a feature...but no punters=no stakes=no features.

My question has to be ....what if a jockey had been perceived to have pulled up a horse and caused it to run 5 lgths below its best....suspended &/or warned off............but whats the difference? the result is identical!

great point rob but guaranteed the newspaper reporters didnt bother asking pettigrew those questions before writing their normal shit previews...but then again our scotia prefers those crap journos to the word coming from the trainers mouth...lets blame the open bet for the drop in turnover it cant be us...the FUCKEN MEDIOCRITY CONTINUES
