It's always a pleasure to watch racing when several of South Africa's top runners converge on a centre!
That means that several legs of today's carry forward pick 6 will have winners from those runners i.e. the winners come from a smaller pool of contenders than ordinarily which means one can go short in several places.
My fancy in JJ's race is Tropical Empire; top weight short of his best distance but that may be precisely where some value lies. He absolutely flies at the death so I expect him to come from behind and run into the money maybe even win. Warm White Nights, Imperial Gesture and Jamaican Dream should all be blazing away early, possibly setting up the race for the deep closing types like Tropical Empire.
Then with everyone chasing Kavanagh I will take some EW on Tuscan Sky who is somewhat neglected in the market for my liking. He is 2 days older than Kavanagh and has done everything right at Scottsville. And maybe a QAT with Kavanagh/Tuscan Sky/F/F or the other way around.
I love the forum. Great insight. Funny chirps and always an opinion. My kinda stuff!

Each to his own, I suppose, but must admit it's the first time that I have heard about a horse being preferred to another based on the fact that he is '2 days older':S That being said Tuscan Sky sure has an undeniable chance - at least he has won on the track - but being out of Tuscan Elegance who did not go an inch beyond 1000m (if my memory serves me right), I have my doubts about the 1200 - the smart play for me would be to include the Charles Laird scratching, giving one both Sports Coach and Kavanagh (who surely should start tote favorite) in the exotics.
I also have my doubts about Tropical Empire who has to give weight to the whole field and who is something of a Greyville specialist imo - I guess the race will show.
