Just listening to Shaheen talking about a SAFTOTE software problem that he reports will be fixed by Monday.
Hope they haven't sold you a dummy mate....the software for "PA tickets going forward" for the the UK is 8 MONTHS past it's promised fix date.

I guess we won't get any updates from Margaret.............................Made lots of promises and then disappeared.

Yeah, blame it on the software...typical illusive, cowardly response.

For all those die hards, who believe everything is above board, think again.

Computer technology, and the access to it, for those who know how to use it, makes it so easy, to mislead the general betting public.(cash cows)

As contributors to this "sport of kings", we can do one of 2 things, accept excuse as been valid, or challenge strongly, that while we cannot do much to change the bullshit excuses, at least, some of us, are aware of the lack of transparency........ and it is this, that will that will ultimately lead to the undoing, of those money hungry, power mongers.

A good investigative reporter would have a field day with this.

It was restored and lasted 2 meetings......funny that this facility suspiciously unavailable from the same time that the "strange" tote dividends began....I wonder who is really robbing the SA punter.
No way it's lucky numbers.......&
No way is a pro.punter, who relies on value, lumping on "money back"place bets or taking evens about 28/10 shots.
The problem is that it appears that punters have now just accepted the situation???????

No fault of ABC Rob if they did not listen to their customers, dont have the figures but fairly sure the tote market share has dropped in favour of bookmakers since all the shortfalls were highlighted.

Not blaming ABC per se',just that the punters and their voices tend,as a rule,to be totally self serving.
I have noticed that when certain issues are discussed, little or no comment is forthcoming and yet over the next few weeks the subject is raised again,as if it was new, because it now directly affects someone else.
We S.Africans have witnessed, first hand, the power of mass action and yet we cant even get a handful of punters to agree on anything......in fact most can't wait to sling off at anybody they don't immediately agree with.
It's contageous cos I now just do whats best for me,within the existing state of racing, but I still think that a combined effort could theoretically make a difference.
