Loopy, ur tips are appreciated, but to pay a monthly subscription for perms that are astronomical is just ridiculous.
Most of us study form and I'm sure that there will be a number of clan members who will be able to tip the pa's and p6's for those sorts of costs.
The fact of the matter is that most us take perms within reason. I personally will never take a p6 perm costing more than R1000 full unit or a pa for more than R200-R300 a full unit.
Anyway, congrats on your win and thanks for your input.

Loopy well done on your success with your exotic bets .

Like I said on the previous Vaal post , you take huge permutations for huge amounts . Anyone can win with that outlay .

I also THINK that I would be able to emulate Loopy, should I spend that type of money - whether I would make a profit is another story.

So why don't we set up a competition for a month or so (no prizes needed, Scotia, but would always be welcome); as a suggestion let everyone interested post a PA and P6 with set limits (perhaps 2K for the PA and 5K for the P6) and then we can compare apples with apples.

I totally agree with Frodo as I believe if my Cocker Spaniel had 3k to spend on a PA then she would too collect everyday.

You also have to remember that Loopy doesn`t place the exotic parts of his tips himself..

Gents

i principle i used to disagree with "paying" for tips. BUT the more i am involved in this sport the funnier things become and the less the "norm" seems normal.

Are the customers paying for tips or paying for "time saving" advice, and does it matter?

My reasons for migrating towards "paying" for tips are as follows:

1:My business has taken off BIG time and the days of following racing full time are long gone, myself and my partner were drawing £3-4k out of betfair every month but it was almost impossble to scale that up. Our fiber optic business though went from 4 staff to this weeks total of 33 in the last 12 months or so. Winning £100-200 a day on the horses is now nothing compared to where we are in business and we dont have the time to do our racing thing.

So there is ONE reason why i would now pay for tips

2: 2 weeks ago i got home after a day at the office and logged onto Victor Chandler and Betfair. I picked 3 horses based on jockeys names and odds on betfair and played a combo fc and i added a 4th horse and played a combo TC. I watched the race and turned off those applications as my horses had run out of the money. That night i logged on to place a pick 3 at saratoga and there was lots of money in my VC acc. WHY ?? because i had looked at betfair in a rush and selected the saddle cloth numbers from betfair and used them as the horse numbers on VC. I was rushed and it worked in my favour. SO LUCK is also a big thing in racing.

So there is another reason why i would pay for tips.

3: Sometimes over the last year or so i log onto both sites and onto VC and i BACK every single horse tipped by chicken and others. I end up taking sometimes 3 horses in each race in trebles/4 folds/5 folds etc on William hill as they allow these best to be done under 1 ticket.(eg:race 1 4 horses selected ,race 2 1 horse, race 3 5 horses etc. ) this from everyone on the forums. AND GUESS what sometimes between all of you 6 or 7 winners come in and i collect BUT all i am doing is looking at your selections and assuming you have spent time studying because i dont have the time.

So once again there is another reason i would pay for tips.

4: in feb this year i tried the following, i logged onto www.random.org and entered the total number of horses per race and then hit "generate" and selected 3 horses per race using this method. Once again i did trebles/4 folds etc) and i lost and won. the whole excersise (1 week) cost me £150) betting 5p and 10p multiples BUT NOT everyday was a losing day . ONCE again LUCK comes into it, in this case complete randomness.AND often £150 loss for a weeks punting studying included is NOT BAD.

So i am afraid that i personally would pay chicken for an email everyday with his selection, delivered by a certain time as i would do almost to anybody cause at the end of the day i like having a bet, win lose or draw LUCK is important and after all i dont HAVE THE TIME.

Please dont go wasting your money paying for tips from me as I just post what I fancy and what I am likely to play. I look at the form, going, draw, the form of the stable, the distance that the horse has travelled to the meeting and how many if any horses are running from that same stable at the meeting. I also watch the betting moves but other than that its all down to luck.
