We have Laurel Canyon running in the 2nd and while 2yr olds are even harder to predict that older horses, she is well and ready for the race. Hard to say if the 6/10 favorite can repeat her debut win (it did after all start at 66/1), but if so, must rate the one to beat. On paper, Chances Are holds Fair Rosalind, and Laurel has beaten Zara easier than Chances Are did (but we need to give CA 2.5 kg's). In the Pretty Polly, Laurel was only 3 lengths behind the Nursery winner, so 7/1 represents some good value imo.
R3: Tough start to the PA especially if Millie Most finds this too short
R4: Competitive, but I like Piper Pilot at these weights
R5: Very open, Fantastic Lady has in the past not seen out 1600, but on her last run may prefer this distance - Eruption seems weel handicapped (come on Gajima give us some confidence)
R6: I think Crooks Corner has some good form and lots of scope - she is also backed up by her stable mate Magic Penny in the P6 and JP
R7: Everything points to A Quiet Rush imo
R8: Speed Keeper effectively penalised 5 points for his last turf win - could be good enough to follow up - interesting runner is Kimberley raider Martinelli who has a MR of 101 at Flamingo, but comes in here at a 73 - not to be ignored imo
R9: Tricky last - go wide
Play well
