2000 GNS Pinatubo
5 years 1 week ago - 5 years 1 week ago
The Gns now runs on June the 6th.
Aware that many set backs with the virus as far as training.
However is PINATUBO a cert at EVENS.
Without google, I can’t remember a horse going into the race with 6 from 6?
Frankel was 4 from 4
Sir Ivor, Nijinsky, Sea the Stars, Brigadier Gerard, Camelot ......all great but nothing with this record?
It’s also 8/1 for Derby but that might be a bit far considering its speed.
What are your thoughts, is it a punt or a lay?
Good Punting

Sharmadal won over 1600m which seems to be what Pinatubo is looking for, i would take that 8/1. The bookie greater generosity include the risk where Charlie wont enter the race imo.
Able Friend struggled to win beyond 1600m though

I certainly wouldn't back against him, though Evens is rather skinny and he could well be odds on at the off.
He has one big advantage in that this year there will be no once raced or unraced colts that have had a pre guineas run. There hasn't been time for them.
He's run 6 times so he knows what the game is all about.
Appleby said this week that this run will tell whether he is Epsom material.

Frankie Dettori has revealed he will ride for Aidan O'Brien in the rescheduled Qipco 2,000 Guineas (3.35) at Newmarket on Saturday.
There were 15 entries for the first Classic of the season and O'Brien, who has won the last two runnings, has put forward four runners, including Coventry Stakes winner Arizona, who is currently the 6-1 second favourite, and Wichita, who is as short as 10-1.
The field is headed by odds-on favourite Pinatubo, who was unbeaten in six starts for Charlie Appleby and Godolphin last season, including when beating Arizona in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes.
"Aidan has been in touch and I'll be riding for Ballydoyle in the 2,000 Guineas," said Dettori. "Ryan [Moore] obviously has first choice but I'm standing by for one of the others and I'm excited about it."
